601442 Single Plant Support, Green

Bought this to hold up a large clump of tall grass that was blown over by an early season storm. It was a bit difficult to get the thin and weak legs into the ground, maybe because of my hard ground, but once secure, this has held up very nice and supports the grass perfectly through several other storms. Can't see the support at all due to the green color blending nicely with the green grass.

This plant support system works quite well on hydrangeas, it's sturdy and, after several years of use, has not rusted. Placement of the system is made easiest by 1) opening the ring, 2) wrapping ring and support rods around the base of the plant, 3) fanning out the rods, 4) raising the ring high enough to place the support rods into the soil where you wish, 5) driving the support rods into the garden bed, and 6) closing the ring carefully. (If your soil is hard, it's a good idea to first till the area surrounding the plant a bit with a sharp garden shovel or other hand tool so that the support rods can be inserted easily. A long, slow pre-soak works well too.) If you have the strength and/or the tools you can cut the support rods to the desired length if your plants branch out close to the ground. (The metal is "soft", so a lineman's pliers will cut it or you can use a hacksaw.) A little bit of work now will yield years of support for and beauty from your plants. Just tips over if the plant gets much higher than the support ring. The wires are easily bent too. The problem is that the worizontal ring is free to move through the loops on the support legs. Once it starts tipping there's nothing to stop it.

Tried to use for hydrangeas, but it was not sturdy enough

Liked the product would have liked a little bit large. Due to rain the plants were very large

Perfect for propping up one of my prayer plants that was sprawling everywhere!

It worked! A bit too high for my pot.

This is for my peony plant, its nice but a bit flimsy. Only time will tell how durable this item is.
