This is a great knife!
I’ve never been fond of Old Timer knives, but this one changed my mind. I know a little something about sharpening things. When I opened the knife, I was really taken aback by how sharp this one is.It does have one design factor I’m really not hep on. It’s ‘Butt heavy’, meaning when I open it with one hand it slides down through my hand butt first and threatens to slide through my hand bringing my fingers too close to the blade.Once I practiced opening and closing it one handed for 20-30 minutes I got familiar with it and could handle it easier. The blade impressed ne. It was wasaaay sharp. Usually I have to touch up the blade on most knives I buy, but not this one. This will be my EDC. I like it.

Opens smooth and easy with one hand
From other reviews I was concerned this might be too tight to open with one hand, but the one I received worked really well, easily opening with one hand and locking up nicely. The belt clip is also just right. It easily slides onto denim jeans, holds securely and it comes off without a struggle. The fit and finish is really good for a knife at this price. The handle scales are nice and tight with no gaps between the scales and the brass. The only negative is the grind angle of the cutting edge. I would consider it rather steep for a blade like this. I used a worksharp belt sharpener to reprofile the cutting edge to an 18 degree angle per side and it cuts much better. I may try 15 degrees or so if the blade can hold up without rolling at 18 degrees. For an EDC knife the blade doesn't really need to be reprofiled; it is perfectly acceptable out of the box, easily passing the paper cut test. I like this knife and it will be my new EDC knife. It has a classic look with the usability of a pocket clip and one handed opening.

Disappointing, Do Not Recommend
I really wanted to like this knife because I was stoked I could find a single-hand-opening pocket knife with a pocket clip that looked like my father's old folding Buck knife. Not intimidating at all to your average person and practical (I thought). It is exactly that, and this thing is very sharp, holds an edge well, and is also easy to sharpen. That's about the end of the positives for me though. Now for why I don't like this knife. First off is the pocket clip. It's too tight. So tight in fact that it ripped the pocket on my old pair of jeans trying to slip if over the fabric. Those pants were ready to go anyway, but it's pretty extreme, and even after using it awhile, it's still just as tight. Also, when you do get the clip in your pocket, it sits the knife quite a bit proud of the top of your pocket, which means I frequently catch it on stuff. The hinge area doesn't have super sharp corners, but they are still sharp enough that if I'm carrying something heavy and my forearm or hand drags across it, it tears me up a bit.Second thing I wasn't fond of was the tip. Way too pointy for my liking. I actually stabbed myself in the hand a couple times with it handling it. Not deep mind you, but it is really so easy to break the skin with it. It's actually better in that respect now because I broke the tip off accidentally and re-shaped it on my belt sander to be slightly more blunt. Trust me when I say this though, it's still plenty easy to stab things with this even with the modification.Last is opening and closing. It has gotten better with a few months of use, but when I first bought the knife it was near impossible to get the knife open one-handed, and it's still quite difficult in my hands. Closing is equally difficult. The flat detent spring lock has a very sharp corner that digs into your thumb and requires a lot of force to release the blade. Just like with the tip, I've cut myself a couple times closing because of how hard it is to release. You're putting a lot of pressure on the knife to the point that it's hard to control what your index finger is doing simultaneously, and it snaps closed and comes down on your thumb. Now it did just barely break the skin, but just the opening and closing issues for this knife alone are a deal breaker. This problem is bad enough that I find I often won't immediately close the blade and put it back in my pocket if I'm working on a project. Instead, it sits there unsheathed and at the ready, which is bad when I forget it's laying there and walk away. I have kids in the house, and I've forgotten to grab it a couple times when I walk away. Not good.

Very nice knife.
This is a great knife. Looks really nice and very well built. I have a few knives. This has become the one i carry the most. Everyone whant to look at. The mix between old and modern features is my favorite part. Only problem is that its hard to open with one hand.

excellent knife for the money
I have always carried a pocket knife, but this one is my favorite. I use it multiple times every day and its needing a good sharpening. Love the knife.

Great knife.
I really like the classic styling, but the modern clip, handle material and thumb release of this knife. It is like a sleeper tactical knife, lol. It is a little larger than I expected (perfect size for me). This would normally be great but I live in Japan now they have pretty harsh knife laws. I will still carry it sometimes, but I purchased a somewhat smaller, more benign looking knife for day-to-day carry. I highly recommend this knife.
