Allstar ALL12005 10" x 12" Multi-Purpose Scott Rag Disposable Towel - 200 Piece

This is a mixed review. The product itself is a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. It is durable, soaks up grease and oil very well, is easy to get out of the box, the box comes with a handle, it is easy to rip off one sheet. Just great stuff and so much better than cloth wiper shop rags. I have them in my garage, my basement workshop, in the tool box of my tractor and on my boat.However, there are two very serious short comings. First, Amazon advertizes these shop towels as being 10 x 14 inches. They are not and Amazon should quickly change what you see. BUT - even though the box is clearly marked that the towels are 10 x 13, THEY ARE NOT !! THEY ARE 10 X 12 INCHES. My wife makes most of her own clothes and is an expert at measuring cloth and cloth like stuff. She confirmed my measurements: the towels are only 10 x 12 inches. So Scott, a normally reputable manufacturer is spoofing the consumer by marking the box 10 x 13. They may defend themselves in some silly way by claiming the towels are perforated on 13 inch centers and the product shirks in the box. BY A WHOLE INCH?? Not likely.So my rating is based on the somewhat deceptive marketing. 10 x 13 is 130 sq. inches; 10 x 12 is 120 sq inches. That is an 8% difference. I'll bet that 8% helps keep the profit margin up for Scott.By all means buy them, they are a great product but both Scott and Amazon should clean up (pun intended) their respective acts and market these towels with the actual dimensions.

I ordered these 10 in by 14 in towels and when I received them the box looked different than the box displayed on Amazon's web site. However, my box had the product code 12005, just like on the web site. What was significant was the size of the towels I received. They were 10 in by 12 in. The box I received confirmed this. It said...200 towels, 10 in x 12 in. To make matters more mysterious, if you enlarge the image of the box on the web site, it says the size of the towels is 10 in by 13 in ! So, three different sizes for the same product code. If you really want a larger 10 by 14 in towel you might want to be wary of ordering his product.

I didn't notice when I ordered there were only 200 rags in the box. Much smaller than the boxes I usually buy. No wonder they were cheaper!

Nothing fancy but a decent quality cloth for the money. A good deal sturdier than paper towels and reasonably absorbent. Use them in the garage, with pets, on cars and in the laundry room. Good disposable shop towel if you don't want to wash your rags.

Worth it. Used in place of paper towels during shortage. Highly durable.
