OM SYSTEM OLYMPUS TG-Tracker with 1.5-Inch LCD (Black)

Very high quality little action cam. I've only played with this little jewel a little while, but really like it so far. Easy to use and very good video output. Love the little fold out LCD screen and the LED light. It comes with a little fold-able attachable grip with a mirror that makes it easy to hold and take selfies. It also can use Go Pro accessories or regular tripod screw mount. The only negative things i can say about it so far is the menu buttons are a little difficult because of the camera's small size and the wide angle fish eye view is a little to wide for my taste. I use the underwater setting to shoot all the time and it works better for me, because it is not quite as wide an angle.Can't wait to take this camera to the beach or on a little adventure.

The media could not be loaded. A really great action cam. I have been testing this out for about a week, and I haven't found much about it that I don't like. I put a 64 GB U3 card into it, and it allows me to take more than an hour of 4k video, which is great. Setting it on full HD gives me almost 6 hours of recording time.There are really two settings for how wide the lens works. The "normal" setting gives an EXTREMELY wide-angle shot, with quite a bit of barrel​ distortion. Knowing about lenses and how they work would necessitate this distortion to get the extreme angle. It is nice to know that it will be hard to miss action with that much angle on the lens. There is also a second setting for "underwater" that reduces the angle somewhat and takes away a fair amount of distortion.There is also a great time lapse function so you can do those cool videos where you build stuff. I really like that.The camera comes with a pistol grip attachment that makes filming really easy, and it uses the same attachment type as the GoPro accessories, so all of those head straps, chest straps, and selfie sticks will work with this camera.The LCD is also a great addition. Sure, it doesn't swivel, but that shouldn't be looked at as a negative. It is SO GREAT to be able to see what you are capturing, even if the screen isn't all that flexible. No more guessing as to what settings are activated, and that is awesome.I am putting my review at 4 stars for now because I have some further testing to do with it on vacation this next week. Long story short, I am super happy with the investment so far and the video quality is great!

The media could not be loaded. Love everything else about the product. The data telemetry it collects (gps, speed, elevation etc.), The image stabilization is almost as good as a gopro on a gimbal. 4k (but dont use it). Swappable batteries. But the weak link in this unit is the exposed lens. It WILL SCRATCH easily. I use my unit to mountain bike and I will run into branches on a trail. Right now, the lens has 3 spots that look like oily vaseline. It will detract from your video footage. I contacted Olympus and they directed me to a replacement lens at a cost of $20. Why cant they make this scratchproof. On the attached sample, you can clearly see the smudge opaque spot at the lower middle part of the video. There's 2 other spots elsewhere - I'll let you find it. I love this little camera! I am still learning how to use it, but I love the compact design and the different settings. I am not pro photographer, so I like simple choices to get great pictures.The great thing is that there are tons of attachments out that that fit the camera. It is pretty universal and any gopro style or small travel size camera accessories will fit it.The bad part it placing the camera can be a little hard. I found trying to attach it to my backpack strap was a little clunky. Because of the design it is very front heavy. I ended up mounting it upside down so that it felt more natural and didn't scream tourist. I haven't tried a helmet/head mount or vest mount, those may be easier. (Nifty that there is an upside down view setting)Still playing with all the setting, but I absolutely love it. It is perfect for my hiking trips, and will be perfect for when I go to Egypt next week.

I bought this camera as a second underwater camera to use on our trip to Tortola, BVI (knowing we'd be spending a lot of time underwater). Unfortunately we quit using it after a few days and only used our Olympus Tough TG-4. The Tough TG-4 is more user friendly, takes great pictures both above and underwater. Even the videos are great. I wish I would have purchased a second one of these prior to vacation instead!!!!Pros: I like that the camera was small, light and has the tilt out monitor. I didn't have any difficulty using the OI Share app - downloading the pictures onto my iPad and iPhone. Maybe it's because I've used it with the Tough. The pictures were clear, color was good. I love the green color of the camera.Cons: Because of the placement, I found it difficult to push the buttons when changing between pictures and videos underwater. It seems to be a lot of steps to do/change most of the settings. The screen does not show the last picture you've taken - you have to go into the menu and the review pictures (a few steps). You also can't scroll to review one picture after another - you have to keep returning to the thumbnails and then arrow over to the picture you want to view full screen. The format of the video downloads would not play on the iPad or iPhone, I needed to install an app. Although I knew I would not be able to zoom, I found this more of an issue than I thought I would. When videotaping underwater, the color of the video would randomly change. I am aware that colors underwater change depending on depth, sunlight, etc, but this was different (especially compared to the underwater video shot in the same location with our other Olympus camera).Needless to say, I returned it and would not recommend it to anyone!
