Great Watch terrible watch band
Gifted my daughter this watch and she loves it. She is a very active 9yo and so far it has held up well. She uses it daily; morning, noon, and night, and the charge lasts for weeks. The only complaint she has it that the rubber watch band is really uncomfortable. I was a little nervous about the purchase after reading reviews about the setup, but I had no issues. I'm also not a fitbit user trying to add my daughter to an existing account, so perhaps that explains it? We simply downloaded the app onto her tablet and created an account using her Gmail account. Highly recommend!

Great Product
Was given one as a Christmas Gift four years ago. I am hard on watches and it held up good. After four years it stopped working shortly after swimming. I figure beating on the watch I likely had a small crack in it and it ruined everything. Bought another Versa 2 for myself and a friend. We both love them and are extremely happy. Works well for tracking my bd;proes burned, steps taken, heart rate, and sleep. My only complaint with the sleep tracking is it counts hours you wake up repeatedly due to a restless night as sleep time but then break it down to clarify. Example it might say you got 6 hours of sleep but were awake 3 hours of it.

Decent upgrades to the best kid’s tracker out there!
*April 2022 update at the end* We’ve had this Fitbit Ace 3 since launch, and I’d like to point out a few of the upgrades when compared to the Fitbit Ace 2: - More rounded / Curved shape, seems like it would feel more comfortable to wear. The part to tuck in the strap is also better, strap doesn’t come out as often if your kid had that issue - Better screen - the animations and display look better - Longer battery life. It is now 8 days instead of 6, and the battery noticeably lasts much longer - New animated faces (a few), with apparently Minion licensed content and straps coming soon - No more one button on the left. Both left and right side have these two touch sensors which can be used for going back to the menu or activating the water lock - Waterproofing has been improved to a depth of 50m, but if your kid is going for a swim, they’ll have to turn on the water lock (long press of both sensors, and then double tap screen when it asks you to) - Still connects seamlessly with the Fitbit app and kids view mode etc. - BIGGEST UPGRADE: Fitbit has since the last 2-3 years moved to bad charging connectors in my opinion, the old Alta 2 ones were the best. The Ace 2 and Inspire use magnetic chargers made of plastic but they don’t hold well. With the Ace 3, they’ve added two clips that hold the charger in place. Not sure if other new fitbit chargers have this, but this is a big upgrade from the old Ace 2 charger which was not easy to hold in place All in all, neat upgrades to the best kids tracker out there, at the same price point as before! July 2021 update: as promised, Fitbit has updated the app to include new Minion animated faces! Kid loves it, thanks! :) April 2022 update: alright guys, the Fitbit Ace 3 that we have is going strong. Through sports, getting wet, and the daily wear and tear of a 6 year old. But CHECK THIS.. the battery life is just INCREDIBLE. This Ace 3 holds charge for 3-4 weeks easily. Easily. I’m curious to hear other peoples experience as we have a day one device, but I’m just blown away. They said the battery life was upgraded to 8 days, but going almost a month without charge is just amazing. Well done, Fitbit. Well done.

Great tracker for kids, but the band is terrible
This is a great sleep and step tracker for kids! My 7 year old loves it, and we love being able to track his stats. The kid fitbit account is very easy to set up and sync. However, the band is terrible and has broken 2 times since we got it 2 months ago. My son has a small wrist, so he wears the device on the 3rd tightest setting, which means there is quite a bit of excess band. There is a fastener to keep the excess band down, but the band slides out very easily. With the excess band flapping around, it is easy to get caught on things and break the plastic fastener. We have used the tiny clear hair ties to hold the band down, which works, but needs to be replaced every few days. I have been a long time fan of Fitbit. I used it for years before I got an Apple Watch. Although I love the Ace 3, the band does not live up to the quality of Fitbit products.

DOES NOT WORK WITH APPLE DEVICES FOR MANY PEOPLE
This product has the worst set-up process in the history of products. Google apparently bought Fitbit and merged Fitbit with Google a few months ago (writing this in August 2023). Your child has to have a Google account that is supervised by your account through Google’s Family Link app. That is an annoying process, but it’s doable. I did all that like you’re supposed to, but then when I went to pair my child’s iPad with the Fitbit ace three, I got an error message saying that it could not work because my son’s account was supervised. But if you remove supervision through FamilyLink, then the app no longer recognizes the child’s Google account as a child’s, rather than an adult’s, and you get an error message in the Fitbit app saying please login with your child’s account— even though I WAS logged in with my child’s account. A quick Google search reveals that this problem is well-documented going back to at least June 2023. I spoke to two different Fitbit customer service representatives, both of whom were familiar with this problem, but neither of whom had a solution. One told me that it might start working in a few hours or a few days, and there was really no rhyme or reason. When I called back later, the second person said they would escalate it, but that they didn’t know the solution. Waiting to hear back. I found posts by other people online who ran into the same problem, and people using Apple devices seemed to be uniformly unable to get it to work, while android people were able to get it to work if they jump through the right hoops. I bought this as a birthday gift for my 10 year old, and was trying to set it up the night before his birthday. Epic disaster. DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO ROLL THE DICE.

Great for use as a Potty Watch!
We were looking for a way to help remind our child to use the bathroom throughout the day while at school. This fitbit - priced at $50 is a bit more expensive than other "potty watches" but you can set up to 8 timers throughout the day - varying by day (different schedule say M-W-F) with either a sounded alarm or silent vibration. This thing worked OUTSTANDING. Not only is it 100% waterproof- but the battery life of 1.5-2 weeks is also spectacular. Every $20-$30 option we could find for a potty watch seemed to fall short in quality or functionality. The wristband (minions) seems a little flimsy and expect it to fail within about 6 months- but otherwise if we can get 1 good solid year out of this device I will call it a win. My child also really likes the step count, and I find the sleep tracking to be extremely interesting and insightful! All in all a very good well made product for a child's entry fitbit as well use for steps, sleep tracking, and a potty watch reminder. I do recommend!

Nice active tracker for kids or adults looking for something basic
I like it for my son but... I had to lie about his age ( I had to put it in he was 12 instead of 13 on the app) because the app and watch are set up to only work on a parents account and once the child turns thirteen the app tries to force him to have his own account. The watch will not let it be set up on a private account for a thirteen year old. It was very inconvenient. It has held up well to being banged around and being in water. It was easy for my child to learn how to use. It does not break up the sleep tracking like their other Fitbits. It will only tell you how many hours he or she slept but it will not tell you how much of that was deep sleep, REM sleep or light sleep. I think it is a bit expensive for what it offers and the hoops you have to jump through if your child is 13 or almost 13 are no fun. I would only recommend if you can find it for sale like 50% off.

Great Kids’ Fitbit with Minimal Issues
Overall, this kids’ Fitbit has been a great purchase! The battery life is impressive — it easily lasts over a week, even with 24-hour wear. The sleep tracking option is a nice bonus, and it’s waterproof, which gives me peace of mind when my kid forgets to take it off for showers or swimming. The only downsides are that we had to buy a new charger after the original one stopped working within a few months, and the watch only syncs the correct time when it’s regularly connected to Bluetooth. Despite those minor annoyances, it’s a fun and motivating fitness tracker for kids. I’d still recommend it!
