Addressing the negative reviews:No, they are not as durable or easy to use as the fabric hook & loop fasteners that cost more than $1 each at Best Buy/New Egg/your corner computer shop. These cost a fraction as much and are more plastic than fabric. Their holding power is not particularly strong but it is sufficient for keeping small cables bundled up. That means that they work well for the intended purpose.They are 8 inches long and 0.5 inches wide. If you received another size, why are you posting a negative review of the wrong product instead of requesting that the seller send you the correct product? The size alone should tell you that they are not going to be well suited for wrapping up the 20 foot wide awning on the side of your RV or for securing cargo to the top of your van. The description says "light duty". Even if it didn't say that at one time, the pictures easily relate that fact as well.They are Velcro. They're sold and labeled by Velcro. That makes them a Velcro product. If you think that Velcro implies a heavier nylon fabric fastener, you need to look up the word 'Trademark'. Velcro is a trademark for a specific brand of hook and pile fasteners, not a specific grade of such fasteners.If you need a product that does the kind of things that are depicted in the accompanying photographs, look no further. This is it. The fact that it is more than strong enough for that use and incredibly inexpensive makes it a no-brainer. Buy an extra roll or three for Christmas lights and all the presents with cables you'll be getting (and giving!) as well as bundling up all the appliance cords in the house.Extra tip: Roll them up with the soft side facing out and they won't stick to other fabrics or gather lint so easily.****I have just purchased my fourth 100-pack of these.
