Awesome design, but poor durability
I am a huge fan of the Ame Comi series of figures. I love the blend of anime and superheros. I was very excited to receive Zatanna in the mail about a year ago. However, when taking the figure out of the box, her wand immediately broke. I also noticed a slight tear in her stocking in the back. As I'm not a serious collector I just decided to let these things slide. The main issue I have with this figure is the base. There are two pegs about 1/4 inch tall that are supposed to keep this figure securely attached to the base! I have noticed over time that the figure has started to lean further forward. Since I paid about $50 dollars for the figure I had assumed it would be more durable.I also have Hawkgirl and Donna Troy and both of these figures are far superior when it comes to durability. I would recommend either of those if you plan to display them outside of their boxes.

Zatanna reimagined
Just like the other statues in the Ame-Comi Heroine Series, Zatanna is reminagined in an anime-influenced style. In my opinion, Zatanna is one of the best of the entire Ame-Comi Heroine line. She's more engaging to the eye than most of the others, with a smooth, sweeping design and painstaking attention to detail. Her face and hair, especially, have more depth and character than those of her counterparts. However, I have a few complaints regarding the sculpting. Her face is tilted slightly downward, so that if you do not have her placed above eye level, you'll be looking at more bangs than face. Also, the bottoms of her feet are not really flat, so you won't be able to make her stand up without the stand, no matter how patient you are. She doesn't even fit very well into the stand. You have to sort of squeeze the legs together to get them to match the pegs, and then the pegs get stuck in the feet rather than in the stand, making the statue a bit less sturdy. Finally, I took some stars off of durability because the paint chipped on mine within a few days of taking it out of the package -- be careful.Lastly, be aware that there are two differences in the statue from the picture. The main difference is that despite her bare legs in the photo, the figure is actually wearing fishnet stockings (made of real cloth, not plastic) - an improvement, in my opinion. Secondly, her eyes are not actually red, but light brown.Overall, this is a very nice piece, and even better in that it is one of the cheapest of the Ame-Comi line.

Love it but has one big problem
I love the attention to detail that was put into this figure. I love that they used real fishnet stockings and the little details on her shoes and outfit. That said I hate how she will not stay on her stand. I have tried everything and she won't stand straight. She leans forwards popping herself off the stand and then falls off completely. She has fallen some many times on the floor that I can safely vouch for her durabilty (no chips, scrapes, or paint scratches). I have given up on the stand completely and have just proped her up against the wall of my curio case. This is the only reason Zatanna didn't get a 5 star rating.
