Nesco Deluxe Vacuum Sealer

We have saved hundreds of dollars over the time we have had this machine. It is especially good if you have a chest-type freezer. We buy and cook in bulk, and save portions for two in the freezer, much better than store-bought frozen meals (we know what we are eating), even slices of homemade pizza, soups, stews, baked beans, etc. (frozen overnight in plastic containers then vacuum sealed the next day). We also freeze raw meats, fruits, and vegetables. Hint: make your own seasoned hamburger patties, freeze overnight on a baking tray, then vacuum seal the next day so they retain their shape. We store smaller portions of dry goods at room temperatures; the possibilities are endless. Over the the six years, we have replaced the rubber vacuum seals once, available direct from NESCO, and replaced the Teflon heat tape (available here on Amazon https://a.co/d/0jkdbg9Q).Make sure you use really good quality thick bags, either roll or precut. The ones I use are available on Amazon (see seller page for OutOfAir), 7-layer construction and 4 mil thick material. Have had bad luck with cheaper ones that either don't vacuum properly, seal poorly, or get easily damaged in the freezer.We have often used it for sous vide (boil in bag) preparation of precooked portions, everything always comes out exactly the way it went into the bag. For raw meats and vegetables, an hour or so in a pan full of water in the sink thaws out anything in a hurry.One more hint: since the machine is fairly tall, it helps to have one or two thick cutting boards or an inverted rectangular baking pan set up on the counter up against the front of the machine such that your bag sits flat on the same level as the sealing slot and does not hang down over the edge.This machine gets used at least 2-3 times a week, and we can't imagine living without it! If it went out tomorrow, we would absolutely buy the same one again.

I bought this vacuum sealer because I was fed up with cheaper machines failing me, and this one really impressed. It feels really sturdy and works exactly as I need it to. The fact that it has space inside to store the bag roll is a nice bonus — makes it neater and more convenient.What I like:- The build is solid: no flimsy parts, it gives me confidence it’ll last.- Good value for the price — you get a strong performing machine without paying over-the-top.- The built-in storage for the bag roll is a thoughtful touch — keeps everything together.- It handles a variety of uses in my kitchen smoothly.One minor thing to watch:- When using the automatic mode with liquid-rich foods, it’s too strong (i.e., the suction or seal may cause a mess). I found that switching to the manual mode for liquids works much better.- That said, the automatic mode is fine for dry items or standard sealing jobs.Verdict:If you’re looking for a vacuum sealer that’s built tough, offers smart features (like internal roll storage), and gives you solid performance — this one ticks the boxes. I’m giving it 5 stars because it consistently delivers what I need.

Es súper fácil de usar. Ya he empacado varias cosas; el vacío que hace es eficiente, la cuchilla integrada corta la bolsa muy bien. Definitivamente lo recomiendo.
