My doctor recommended I try L-methylfolate after finding I have an MTHFR gene mutation. I take it alongside my prescribed ADHD medication, and for me it made a noticeable difference. I have learned that this is the natural form of folate where folic acid is the synthetic form of folate and that the "L" signifies that it is an amino acid. Amazon had many different brands in many mg sizes to choose from. I am on my second bottle so I have been taking it for 2 months now and I can definitely tell a difference in my mood and quality of sleep. I have been taking an antidepressant for years and have never heard of this and I wonder why not. This has elevated my mood so much. I am very happy with both my physician's recommendation and Amazon's choices. This is a small capsule so it is easy to swallow.
