Excellent, easy set up and great sound
Arrived well packed an was easy to set up, basically plug in and play. I am not a home cinema expert so I was glad that the default settings on the speaker were ideal for my system which is a Denon 2600h and 5 Kef egg speakers. The remote control is very easy to work with and all in all I am very happy with the addition of the SVS sub woofer.

A tiny titan?
This is an awesome piece of kit! I got this to compliment my KEF LSX II speakers and it did not disappoint. My wife was less thrilled to find it vibrated a decorative window we have leading to our porch. The App works well, very handy to be able to adjust it without getting on my hands and knees and going back and forth to check the adjustments. This was the smallest 12 inch sub I could find, much smaller than any others I liked at. Not sure you could call it tiny, until you compare with others with the same size cone. Very pleased, looks good for a black box and is very solid.

Fantastic and very musical "entry level" subwoofer
I was a little wary of diving into subwoofer world, as I don't want to play bulging movie soundtracks through it, but extend the bass response of my hi-fi speakers (floor-standing Mission 763s from the 1990s).This compact little unit (just over a foot cubed) tucks neatly out of the way, but effortlessly adds just the right amount of bass in my ~5m x 4m living room. The SVS app (free to download from Apple and Android/Google Play stores) is great, enabling the cutover frequency to be set (so the subwoofer doesn't end up doubling the bass from your existing speakers and thus causing a boomy sound). It has so many parameters that can be adjusted but, as the very helpful SVS support engineer said, "Trust your ears". When you do that, it's quite straightforward to get it sounding really good.Perfect for classical, rock, synth-pop... you name it (including heavy metal, hard rock... or so I'm told - not my thing personally). What really won me over pre-purchase was the statement in the brochure for the SB-1000 Pro: "The subwoofer should add to the sound without unnecessarily drawing attention to itself". Just what I wanted, and just what the SB-1000 Pro does!

Excellent value
The app for the speaker allows considerable adjustments to be made to the sound so that it can be readily set up to suit your existing speakers. It can be independently altered for volume, crossover frequency, parametric equalisation, phase etc. It also comes with some useful presets for music or movies so you can start with their settings and tailor them to suit. I bought it to add bass to my Opera Grand Mezza speakers, it has definitely strengthened the bottom end by providing some real punch. You can now feel the bass which was distinctly lacking from the Opera speakers when playing rock music. Well worth getting.

Fantastic sub. Ignore the one odd review saying its underwhelming. It's really not..
This sub hits a low freq of 20hz and absolutely rumbles the room during movies and music that has some low bass lines. It's good quality bass, not boomy at all and highs, mids and lows are well balanced. I only have it set to around 60% gain, with a 5.1 yamaha setup and it fills our large lounge room very well.Positioning is key as it is with any sub so I would absolutely ignore any comments on its underwhelming power as anybody that states this has clearly set the sub up incorrectly. Use the app, position it well, hook it up to a good quality setup and it will impress instantly. Tweaking and positioning will make all the difference though as mentioned.Overall a Fantastic sub for around the £500 Mark. A well priced premium quality subwoofer.

Tight and punchy but doesn't give a hit/feel
Very good sub, tight and crisp, but lacks the feel or hit of a ported sub (exchanged for a PB2000)

Quality
This is a really nice quality woofer which probably beats anything in it's price bracket. I chose the SB as music is my #1 priority, if films are your thing then the PB1000 pro might be better. SB = sealed so fast and responsive eg double bass etc; PB = ported which moves more air and has better low end for LFE.Happy with it and it's plenty powerful for my modestly sized home theatre - also SVS was a good choice.
