Huge net, super strong. Great deal.
Wish this came with 1-inch openings. This one has 2-inch openings so not really a slow feeder, but it is HUGE..I can probably fit 2 standard square bales in there with some elbow grease. I have this for my Friesian cross gelding with metabolic (i.e. fatso) issues and i put about about 1 1/2 bales in there and it lasts a couple days. It's super strong, has a very long top cord so you can get creative as to how to hang it. Love this net, will probably get another.

Over all I would recommend this item
The hay net has held up for me and I do like it! The string that closes the top of the net could use a little modification but all in all for one to two horse I would say it works really well! I wish I would have ordered the tighter netting but it still slowed my horses down! I do recommend tying the net up rather than leaving net on ground! I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because of the string can get a little tangled but nothing horrible and definitely manageable!

Works
I’m in northern ca my bales of alfalfa are about 120lb a bit over 4 feet long , the netting worked. I did half take out about three flakes per bale just because the bales I have are much widerand I think that it just kind of shortened the length of the net which was no big deal. These foals are about 2- 2 - 1/2 months old and they had no issues with the netting. It slowed the foals and my two broodmares of eating, and they nibbled all day and as you can see, I have no weight issues with my horses. Also I had just about zero waste they eat every stitch, and there was nothing on the ground

Torn in less than a week
Extremely poor quality! We needed a slow feed square bale feeder, so we ordered this one a little leery of its reviews, and we should have listened. We have one horse eating from this and it tore after less than 3 days of use. It was easy to use, a square bale fit great, easy to cinch shut and hang, but terrible quality. We'll return this and won't buy from here again.

Pays for itself in hay savings!
Easy to fill net is large enough for even (100+ pound) California hay bales. Great drawstring latch mechanism, and they are standing up well to Draft horse abuse. The holes do stretch more than some slow-feed nets, so it you really need to slow down a horse's consumption, you may need to double net the bale.

i like it
I've used this net for 2 weeks now. I bought 3 and have been using them all. So far I really like them. I live in southern cali and feed Bermuda. It fit the entire bale no problem and last 4-5 days. No more hay getting thrown on the ground and my horses wasting it. I don't expect them to last forever so I bought a 4th one recently in case one gets a big hole in it. I have been told certain nets can wear your horses teeth unnaturally so I will be checking for that. If it happens I will update but I assume it will take a little time before noticing it.

some work some don't . 50-50
I have purchased several of these. I fold them over and they make for a very easy access hay bag. But the quality varies. The size of the hole, the stretch in the cord and the metal ring at the closed end. All in all, i have wasted about half of the money I spent. The last one I put up had such large (3") holes that my mine got his foot stuck in it and was very uncomfortable until I discovered him. I sure wish there were a fool proof slow feeder. have n't seen one yet after trying about 8 different kinds. I cant return the one I had to cut off my mini, but I did return a prior one.

Sturdy
I don't actually use this around the bale of hay. I found it too difficult to get it around the bale, but it works great as a top cover to keep the bale more or less together as the goats pick through it. It also keeps them from jumping on top of the bale, which would make the bale fall apart more easily. Glad I purchased.
