Rok Hardware Extra Heavy Duty Elbow Latch Cabinet Door
Rok Hardware is a Great Supplier, the Extra Heavy Duty Elbow Latch Cabinet Door works like a champ on the inside of the second door to secure it. I have locks on the righthand door, but needed something to secure the left hand door and didn't want 2 sets of locks - this Elbow Latch is the perfect solution.

Works exactly as it should
This is a better product than what it replaced, though "extra heavy duty" may be a little hype. It replaced the latch on a breakfront cabinet that never worked right. The original resembled one that got some bad reviews here, though it was probably made early to mid 20th century. It turned out there had been a scrap in the casting process that, when I filed it down, made it sort of work, but not really. This one works flawlessly. After ordering I noticed it also comes in brass, which I would have preferred visually, but under normal circumstances it's not visible anyway. When properly adjusted the door just gently closes and stays closed, no need to release the latch, until reopening. A magnetic latch would be less satisfactory here since the left door holds the right door closed. The screw holes didn't quite line up with the old ones, so it wasn't quite as simple a job as I had hoped, but close. The hardware came all in one bag but the screws are slightly different, some flathead and some panhead. I didn't notice this at first and had to redo it. Putting the panheads with the latch plate could cause it to go out of adjustment sooner. Either way, it's easily fixed. This is how nit-picky I have to be to find anything wrong.

Latch with a Satisfying Click
I bought two of these for an old, awning-type window (where the sash is hinged at the top and the window swings out and up). Now when I close the window the latches engage with a satisfying click. There can be a suction-type wind load and these latches appear to be robust enough to handle it. The only quibble is that the brass screw provided for the bottom part of the latch had too small of a head for me to screw into my window stool, probably made of old-growth lumber. Plus, for greater stability, I would have liked two screws and the slot is big enough to accomodate. No big deal -- I just purchased what I needed at the local hardware store.

perfect size and do the job
We have 2 sets of glass double doors over an alcove in the basement which look like they were originally going to be used for a wine cellar, so of course that's what we decided to use them for! They don't have any hardware except ball catches at the top, so I ordered 2 fingerprint cabinet locks and these latches to secure the opposite side at the ceiling and they are the perfect size for that and hold the doors fairy securely - we're not going for fort knox, just something more for fun and aesthetics and to discourage any guests from self-service. the screws are pretty awful, though. they are thin and the screw heads stripped out before getting them half way in, but thankfully i had some beefier screws on hand. they seem a wee overpriced for what they are v. what they'd be at a brick and mortar, but not if you consider shipping and convenience.

Heavy duty but not too large.
Rok Hardware Extra Heavy Duty Elbow Latch Cabinet Door/Window Catch - BRASS.I used this fantastic little latch on a bed platform in our new trailer. The trailer has a queen bed platform where most of the platform lifts for storage under the bed. The problem was every time you lift the mattress to put on or remove bedding, the platform would lift. It didn’t bother me too much but my wife had real problems as we replaced the lightweight mattress with a gel/foam eight inch mattress. The lifting struts the trailer manufacturer used are REALLY effective. So, the latch. It is mounted on the bed and holds the platform down now but is VERY easy to open if you wish to access the under bed storage area.

Upgrading Latch on Liquor Armoire
Will work perfectly for upgrading the barrel bolt latch hardware on the one door of my liquor cabinet armoire. Can adjust the catch to where I get no play when the door is closed. Manufacturer should have used hardware like this on a piece this expensive; barrel bolt is way too sloppy a fit, allowing the door to kick open just enough to allow the lower double-roller closure to cut loose (which then puts pressure on the opposing door's double-roller, with just enough force to cause it to flop open). Annoying. But this latch, and new ball tension catches for the door bottom's will fix it all.3/7/17 Update - installing today and works well. Little tough working blind inside liquor cabinet, but some double stick tape helped to hold door side hardware in place for marking screw holes to punch/drill. Careful not to over tighten the adjuster screw, or you'll blow the ball bearing out and ruin the aluminum catch body. I did that and have to buy a replacement now.

Heavy duty and stylish
The media could not be loaded. I built this cabinet several years ago. The right hand door has always had a twist in it. This latch looked heavy enough to pull the door in and hold it in place. It certainly did and it was easy to install. I had to add an extra nail in because it would pull and slide a little bit so it has a screw that came with it plus a nail as a stop.
