D. Gray-Man 21: The Awakening of Alma Karma: Volume 21

If you are new to D.Gray-Man, start from volume 1. Reading this volume on it's own will make no sense to you whatsoever.D.Gray-Man volume 21 contains chapters 194 to 199.It is rated T+ for older teen (16+) due to violence.We continue with the battle between the exorcists and the Noah clan. Allen and Road escape from looking at Kanda's memories and join in the fight again. Plus, it's Kanda vs Alma, these "childhood friends" really want to kill each other, or do they? It's basically an entire volume of fights. But the ending is quite touching. I was surprised.The book itself looks slightly different from previous volumes. As stated near the beginning of the book, the front and back covers have been revamped. The title on the front is in a different position and the image on the back stretches across the width of the page. In my opinion, it looks a lot better! Inside, the story so far and character profiles look a lot simpler and easier to understand. They are very useful in this volume as some of the characters look very similar. The colours on the front and back covers are strange but it looks beautiful as does most of the art in volume 21.I've been waiting for this volume for a while, I read the monthly chapters but I find it way too confusing, this volume made everything clear though.

This volume is full of action, it answers a lot of questions while also providing us with a whole lot more. I shan't spoil it but the drawing is great, there is loads going on so you get a lot for your money and the plot is really intense. I just love this manga anyway, and I cant wait for the next book, with such amazing main characters, and plotline it is a must read. It has snippets of romance, lots of drama and action and suspense, it has fantasy and humour. Its an all round perfect manga.SOME SPOILERS - Allen's fate is becoming clearer, as the fourteenth makes another appearance, Kanda finally finds the woman hes been searching for and the millennium earl reveals something about himself.

A great manga with a great anime. A must read!

Awesome as usual. I started reading this series before it was out in the US. You can find early English translations online for free now, but I still prefer to buy the actual books. :)
