I was on a mission to find a true gardenia scented perfume. It is my favrotie scent in the world. So, I tried maybe 15 different ones. They ALL smelled like that cheap "old lady" perfume. This one actually smells like gardenia and it lingers. I will only be using this one, probably for life.

If you love the smell of gardenias then this fragrance is for you. Gardenias are my very favorite scent. The price is very reasonable too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I like that it smells sweet like real gardenia & white flower mixture. It’s exactly the scent I’ve been looking for. Some people have commented that the scent doesn’t last. I’ve found that it lasts much longer than several expensive perfumes I have that cost 10x the price of this one! At this price, I don’t mind reapplying it in the evening.

So this smells nice on my linens. Mixed with my body chemistry it smells old lady. Perhaps indicating I’m an old lady. Do not believe folks who say the scent is too light or wears off too fast. These are folks who have gone nose blind. It is a strong scent that lingers and smells like true gardenia. Not chemical as some say. I can only spray one spray on the pillow and then I have to sleep on the other side or it is too strong. And I spray it on the case and I can smell it on the pillow underneath. In short, it did not work as a perfume for me. But it’s a nice linen spray.

With all of the springtime flowers blooming, I was craving s gardenia-forward fragrance, and hastily blind-bought this Elizabeth Arden one. I was thinking that I'll reserve this as kind of a body spray for the hot and humid evenings that will be coming up soon, but now that I have tried it on, I think this would be perfect for daytime wear! It is VERY buttery in the beginning on my skin, but it has dried down to gorgeous, sweet gardenia. Just gardenia, nothing else. And it is VERY strong! Really love this; glad I bought this.

The scent is a rather strong scent and it smells of magnolias. It's a beautiful scent. I'm not sure of the authenticity as it does not seem to last long and you can smell the alcohol in it. You can wear it on a daily basis. You'll just have to reapply because like I said it does not last long.

I *love* the intense nectar of a white flower—gardenia, tuberose, honeysuckle, jasmine, etc.—but I completely understand that wearing it is not for the feint of heart or nose. It’s overpowering. But I like overpowering ;)To me, “Elizabeth Taylor’s Gardenia” is the courteous, sensible sister of the big bloom. I think it’s perfect scent for white floral lovers with a discreet palette.It has the heart of sweet, buttery gardenia, but it’s not intoxicating. It wears lightly on the skin; it doesn’t douse the atmosphere.That means that it’s not super durable. But it’s more versatile. A great white floral for work, get-togethers, meetings—when you want your fragrance to announce, not broadcast.

Wanted a perfume that smelled like gardenias. This is not as strong as I had hoped.
