Necessary for the perfect roast lamb dinner (read my review for our family recipe)
Trust me! This mint sauce is necessary if you are going to make roast lamb.Do not buy mint jelly or another type of mint sauce with heaps of sugar. This mint sauce is the real thing.I grew up with roast lamb dinners (ALWAYS with Crosse and Blackwell Mint Sauce) and my grown kids still talk about my own roast lamb sunday dinners with nostalgia, when they are away from home. This mint sauce is 100% necessary for an authentic English/Australian/New Zealand roast lamb dinner. Here is my English Roast Lamb recipe with Mint SaucePreheat oven to 415F, Poke slits (10-15) all over a 4.5lb bone in or semiboneless leg of lamb.Insert small garlic cloves and shove some fresh rosemary leaves in each slit. Rub the outside witha couple of Tbs of butter (you can leave this step out but if you are having a roast lamb dinner, don't count calories for one night, live it up!) Sprinkle with coarse salt and fresh ground pepper. Place in a heavy duty roasting pan. Roast for 15 mins (uncovered). Reduce heat to 360F and place peeled and halved medium potatoes around roast. Put them in a bowl first and toss them with some olive oil.We also roast chunks of butternut squash or other winter squash with the potatoes, but that's not so common in the US, I know but they are delicious. Roast uncovered about 1 1/4 hours or until 135-140F for medium or 155-165 for well done (I would strongly recommend you roast to medium)Remove from oven and place on carving plate and cover with foil. If the potatoes/squash need longer put back in until crispy. Remove potatoes, Make gravy if desired with the drippings (strongly recommed you make gravy) Serve with green peas, gravy, perhaps some steamed carrots if you didn't roast squash. Steamed broccoli is also good. Serve with heaps of gravy on the meat and peas along with your CROSSE AND BLACKWELL MINT SAUCE.Leftover lamb rolls the next day are amazing if you toss the lamb with the gravy, place in a toasted bun and sprinkle with some mint sauce. If this review has been helpful to you, please click the helpful button. Great Sauce
I have loved Cross and Blackwell mint sauce all my life. It is as fresh and delicious as purchased in England, as well as very easy to buy here in the USA on Amazon!!

Absolutely amazing on lamb.
One of the best sauces/marinades for lamb chops. I soak my lamb chops anywhere from 2 to 6 hours and grill as usual. It’s amazing.

This is delicious with lamb, something that I learned from my mother over 45 years ago. She was definitely right.😃
