best one to use
I have been using them for years they hold up and you can make them real tight

Smoother alternative to "bent wire" clips
I switched to these roller clips from the "bent-wire" versions that were difficult to adjust well -- and I've been pleased so far. The reality is that release clips simply don't hold up forever if you use them as much as some of us do. I expect these to last at least as well as the alternatives.

These are my favorite type of outrigger clip because they can easily be adjusted to whatever pressure you want. However, I've had two of these break on me while flapping in the wind going from spot to spot. The hinges apparently failed so the pieces came apart. These are less than a year old, so that is a bit disappointing.
