Jim BeamJB0158 Black Cast Iron Burger Press - 7'' Heavy Duty Burger Press with Solid Wood Handle

It's just a cheap looking and feeling burger press with "Jim Beam" etched on the (cheap) wooden handle. It's not really heavy enough for it's purpose compared to others to start with.Even the packaging felt cheap. It's been used 4-5 times in the past 2 months, has been properly looked after and hasn't gone rusty yet as some other reports of this product have stated. However it does need to be looked after properly as with any cast iron cooking item. Wipe clean only, after use.

You see these things being used on the American cooking shows. I thought to myself that there must be a good reason so I decided to get one and give it a go.This is one item that lives out on the side in my kitchen NOT gathering dust. It ensurers good contact to the cooking surface making cooking quicker and more even.

I certainly couldn't live without a grill weight now - so in that sense I love it. It's very heavy and well made and works excellently.I do kind of wish I'd got a non-stick rather than cast-iron as there's quite a lot of care needed to maintain the seasoning.

When I bought this I was a little worried about the price for a Burger Press, however when it Arrived I was very pleased, Good Solid item, works well, have used it several times now and it certianly makes better burgers.

Bought for my son as a Christmas present so cannot comment on its use, but will enjoy summer barbecues. Arrived as estimated.
