Graco Contempo High Chair, Midnight

The chairs fold easily and are not too cumbersome to bring on weekend road trips. At Grandma's we fold and stow the chairs after every meal. At home, we never collapse them; they stay set up in our dining room, and it's easy enough to get around them. I was worried about tripping on the legs all the time, but that hasn't happened.Cleaning the meal trays is easy enough. I liked the idea of dishwasher-safe, but they don't fit, and even if they did, we don't run the dishwasher often enough anyway. Still, washing by hand isn't a problem... which is good because we do it at least three times a day. The top tray was useful at first -- and quite a relief when realizing at lunchtime that we hadn't gotten a long enough break to clean up after breakfast: just take the messy top tray off and use the bottom tray! But at around 15 months our girls started lifting the top tray and dumping its contents in their laps, so now we just use the bottom tray.As for the snack tray underneath, given that it's attached to the chair, you can't exactly carry it to the sink. So I tend to use it only for snacks that won't be very messy.As for other cleanup, the first time we removed the covers we did have to refer back to the owners manual as it is not obvious what to do. But wiping them down is effective, so we don't take the covers off often, and after the learning curve, it's no big deal anyway.The only drawback to these chairs, which is minor, is that with the top meal tray in place, or with just the snack tray, twin A's favorite sippy cups (the hourglass-shaped Gerber Graduates "Fun Grips", which have an unusually wide base) don't fit in the cup holder. But we have no problem with twin B's favorite cups (the more tapered Gerber Graduates "Advance") or any other cup we own (e.g. Munchkin Miracle 360). This is also not a problem with the bottom meal tray, which is slightly larger to accommodate the nesting top tray.

This is a great high chair. I researched several before I purchased, and this one has lived up to my expectations. It is perfect for babies and toddlers as they progress through different stages, and I expect my daughter, who was not yet sitting independently when I purchased the chair, will be able to get a lot of life out of it. It is sturdy, height adjustable, easy to wash, the seat reclines with a one-handed adjustment, and there's a one-hand release for the tray. It will fold up small for storage, which I originally thought was super-important because I don't have a lot of space in my kitchen. But I haven't yet put this chair away because we use it multiple times a day. You could easily fold it up and put it away in a small space, though, if you were so inclined. When it is opened it takes up as much floor space as any high chair would. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

After months of searching for a high chair for our 2nd child, and after returning 2 b/c they arrived & we either couldn't figure out how to put it together or it just didn't look like the photo, this is the one we chose. And, I love it!!We had a bigger, bulkier Graco high chair with our first born (4 years ago) & ended up selling it before moving b/c it was SO hard to figure out how to store, not the case with this one! This folds up evenly & almost flat, so it can easily store in a closet or in a trash bag in the garage if we decide to keep it for another child down the road.No assembly. We only had to pull the thing out of the box & take the plastic bag wrapping off of it.Ease of use....SO easy! It's really light, so moving it from room to room is easy! The tray attaches without needing a special degree & fits in our dishwasher easy, too. Some reviews have mentioned the wheels scratching floors, but we have not noticed this (and we live in military housing with cheapest, most scratchable floors ever!)Color...It's not hideous. There are no bright colors, cartoon characters or the like on this chair. It blends in with our decor. It's also relatively small, which is nice when our house is already swarming with ALL the baby gear.My kid loves it. He will sit & play in this chair while I clean the kitchen, make dinner, etc. He's happy in it even when he's not eating. Oh, and it RECLINES!! So, if he falls asleep, or needs to lay back to hold his bottle, DONE!The price is right! Who really wants to spend $200 on a high chair that your baby will only use a few times a day for about a year before needing to move to a booster seat at the table? We didn't want to spend more than $100 & this is really great quality for this price point. Is the chair perfect? No. Are there things that could be better? Sure, as with all things. But, if you don't want to spend an entire car payment on a high chair, or if you don't have 5 hours to spend assembling one, this is a great chair. Looks great, SUPER easy to use, light weight & easy to store.

Great, sturdy high chair. I love that you can recline the seat to the appropriate position based upon your little one's age and ability. The double tray makes food transition and clean up a breeze! It folds up super flat and fits just about anywhere. Mine also came with two chair pads, so when one gets dirty (which is like everyday with a 7 month old), you can throw it in the wash and still have one to use for the next meal. The dark midnight blue does not seem to stain, even with marinara sauce! Or at least, the stains are not visible. I love this high chair and highly recommend to anyone who may be on the fence with purchasing one.

While I do like the highchair, I must say its rather bulky and hard to store. Takes up a bit of room at the table and the wheels tend to get stuck and break. I like how there are two trays, so I don't have to rush a clean one right away when it's time to eat. Material is easy to wipe down and wash! The quality is great, but as I stated, it tends to be on the bulky side.

Very good quality product. It has a comfortable seat support, solid balance, multi tray options, adjustable height etc.
