These are really fun little DIY kits! In response to those who have reported the motors don’t work, thats most like due to user error. Improper alignment, gear orientation, and or binding is usually the cause. Take your time, be gentle, and they’ll all work great! The elevator was my son’s favorite kit.

I bought this kit for my 8 year old great nephew. He was going to be spending some time at my house and he enjoys building things. We loved the projects and they went together easily. That being said he never would have been able to build them on his own. If you are going to get this for young kids be prepared to sit with them and help.

My son had fun putting them together but they are a bit behind where he is. They all worked as they should and were fun.

I bought the set and use individual kits as treat bag stuffers, in a customized canvas pouch for each kid. A goodie bag that doesn’t come with plastic fidget toys that got threw away after a couple of mins playing.

Even though i did most of the building , time well spent with my daughter helping out, and then i decided to connect the elevator one with the transmitor one together now she has a remote control elevator.

I gave this as a gift. The young recipient absolutely loved it! She was busy all week and was so proud when she completed each item.

We bought the 5 STEM building set with the elevator, telegraph, newtons cradle, hydraulic excavator, and sun earth moon model.Here is our review of the elevator:The long slim pieces of wood are easy to break, so kids may need help screwing them in.The elevator worked just fine EXCEPT that it makes a noise sometimes instead of moving when you push the button.... we fiddle with it and it works again, but the issue is confusing to us.Here is our review of the Sun, Earth, and Moon model:Coloring the 3 balls is difficult because the marker comes off on your fingers and does not seem to want to stay on them.The motor keeps falling down because it is not screwed in place.The battery pack is not accessible to change batteries if you stick it down in place so keep it removable - don't use the sticker.It worked perfectly when in motion - no issues.We lost the planet balls quickly which is disappointing.Newton's cradle was wobbly and did not function well. I think it takes a lot of skill to get it set up properly.The telegraph machine's lights never worked but we were able to transmit sounds.The 8 year old took the hydraulic excavator home and I have yet to see it functioning... not sure if it worked given the silence on it.
