ColdPruf Men's Basic Dual Layer Bottom

Just as I expected as it was the same with the shirt; I ordered the XLT since I am 6'2" and 270 lbs. I have included a screen shot for size questioning and can attest that the sizes are true to what the image says from the company's website.

First, let me say that I own several ColdPruf platinum long sleeve shirts and love them - they are my best cold weather base layer.I was hoping these bottoms would do the same for my bottom :) Based on experience with shirts, I knew sizing might be a tad on the large side, so ordered S and M (normally I wear medium, pant size 32)- As expected, M was enormous - I could put two legs in a single pant leg. That negates any possibility of them providing decent cold protection, as base layer needs to be fairly tight. Also, ankle cuffs were made of fairly non-elastic material and somewhat difficult to pull on.- Size S was still a bit baggy, but might have worked. It was also a bit short (and I am not very tall, only 5'7"). Worst of all, the cuffs were so small that I had significant trouble putting feet through, and almost tore one when trying to take them off. I am not a large guy, and my feet sized "narrow".Can't imagine any person of realistic dimensions being able to actually wear these, unless that person is disproportionately short, plump and has tiny baby feet.Based on this, I really cannot recommend this product to anyone. If manufacturer reads this - please get some measurements of real people, adjust your sizing and use appropriate elastic material for cuffs.Too bad - had high hopes for this product.

Living in Michigan, I've been wearing thermal underwear my whole life, and I've been disappointed with virtually every brand and type I've ever tried. So naturally, I was a bit skeptical about the last line in the description for this latest venture: "THE BASIC - DELIVERS COMFORT AND WARMTH IN ALL COLD WEATHER ENVIRONMENTS - WHETHER AT HOME, ON THE JOB OR ENJOYING THE OUTDOORS." But I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, so tonight when these arrived on my doorstep, I gave them the acid test... the jack-acid test.10:30pm, 5 degrees F, with a wind chill around 5 below zero. Ordinarily under those conditions, I would wear my insulated coveralls to go out to the barn to get a load of firewood for the house. But tonight, I decided to see just how well these thermals lived up to their claim. I wore the ColdPruf bottoms under my jeans, and the http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EF1K1BI under an unlined hooded sweatshirt with just a jacket on the top. The bottoms kept my legs so warm that even my toes stayed warm - something I can hardly ever manage. And the top kept my body so warm that I was sweating - sweating enough so the ColdPruf top AND the sweatshirt were both soaked, but even with the wet clothes, I still stayed warm.Needless to say, these passed the test with flying colours.As for the sizing, it seems to be pretty accurate. I'm 6'3" & about 200lbs. I wear 34W/36I pants and usually buy XL shirts (L for t-shirts). So I went with size Large-Tall for both the bottoms and the top, and they fit perfectly. The bottoms would still be long enough even for someone with a 38 inch inseam. The sleeves of the top are long enough to reach my wrists and to stay there, even when I'm active, when other shirts tend to ride up my arms. The body of the top is long enough that there is no way it will come untucked from my pants.All in all, these have by far exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be buying more of them!

I bought three different blended baselayers in this price range and these were the least favorable. In use, they're fine, and they're as warm and cozy as the best in the set, which is why they get 3 stars instead of 2. However, the stitching is slightly less stretchy than the rest of the material, and reaches its elastic limit earlier. This makes it feel like there's cords running through your underwear if ever they're twisted on your body. It is especially evident when I'm putting them on and the seam around the ankle literally has to scrape over my heel.Spend a little more on Duofold by Champion. It's the same 60/40 blend with flat seams, but they're much more comfortable to take on and off.

I am 5'8", 185 pounds. Waist 33", inseam 30" . Feet are size 8.5 USA. The shoe size is important in this review. The fit on my legs was baggy which is somewhat expected with one size covering all lengths of legs. The one star is for the ankle fit. I struggled to get them over my ankles. the seam dug into my skin. Then taking them off was way worse, it took both sets of fingers to work it back over my ankle, entertained thoughts of cutting the longjohns off. Being from a very cold weather state, I've worn my share of longjohns. After inspecting the ankle cuff, think I found the issue. The seam which attaches the elastic cuff to the legging is the culprit. It has no give whatsoever. I dare the designer to put these one. Again I do not have big feet or ankles. Recommend do not buy !!!

I love the product. Live in Chicago and needed them. They're very warm. Only complaint, The ankle is SUPER tight. The seam that is around the ankle is a struggle to get through. Maybe I have big feet or something but it's really tough to get feet through the ankle seam.

Muy buen producto, cómodo y realmente te protege del frió, estuve a 0 grados con solo un pantalón encima y no sentí frío, no da calor extremo simplemente te mantiene en la temperatura adecuada y te ayuda a poder realizar tus actividades en el exterior. No te hace sudar mucho por lo que no te dará problemas fue probado en los bosques de canda, en caso de lavarlo no cuesta mucho trabajo.

Right now, it's the first week of March, and the temperatures are super chilly with a vicious wind chill. And these pants make it feel like there's no wind at all. I am wearing them under sweatpants and it feels like a second skin that doesn't care about the cold. I've even worn it snowboarding under some very thick snow pants and I didn't sweat at all. Even though it was the top of Mount Tremblant, and it was really cold. I was neither freezing nor too hot. I just wish I could get it a bit cheaper and buy 2 or 3 more. But quality deserves its money.Super comfy, breathable, and stays up. Not much bad to say about it.

El producto es ropa interior diseñada para mantener la temperatura, es de algodón y material sintético, está bien fabricada, no es tan gruesa, aunque si la piensas usar con pantalones muy pegados quizá si te sientas incómodo. No es la más caliente que puede existir, pero si funciona, me agradó, en cuanto al ajuste, compré talla Grande y me quedó muy bien, no tuve problema para meter los pies ni nada (varios mencionan problemas) si les sirve como referencia soy talla 34 en Jeans y mido 1.83m.

Material is soft but thin, should be warm enough for southern Ontario places like Toronto but northern Ontario through Quebec you might need johns a little heavierSizing is accurate I'm 5ft-7in with a 36 inch waist and medium fits perfect

These are pretty much your Basic Long Johns, 60% cotton and 40% polyester.I bought them during a cold spell in January when the temperature was hovering around -39 to -44ºC .As a base layer these johns keep me warm. They're machine washable but tend to pill up a bit in the dryer if you leave them in too long.Speaking of long .... that's my only complaint with these. I'm only 5'6" and do fit these a bit big and long in the crotch.I often have this problem with long johns and wish they would make a low rise style.Overall I like these. They are your basic everyday long johns, well made, warm and inexpensive ... what more could you want. I would buy them again.
