X-Acto1818LMR XLR Office Electric Pencil Sharpener, Charcoal Black

I have had this for 4 years (since when the pandemic hit). Since getting it, we realized our kids thrive in a virtual school environment and they have been enrolled in accredited, public virtual school. (Every kid learns differently. This works for us.) This means all of our pencil sharpening for work and play is done at home. Recently, I thought this broke after 4 years of solid work, but decided to take a look inside. It hadn't been emptied for a while and a pencil end got jammed in it. I unplugged and with the help of tweezers and a child's toy screwdriver, dislodged the broken bit. I plugged it back in and it works great.

Stopped working after used 2 times. If the receptacle is not closed properly, the motor will not start. If the motor will not start this kind of reasons. We can’t find the exact reason for, why it’s not working. So it’s difficult to find the problem and repair also. But it’s really wasteful of money

I like it. It does a great job with my colored pencils as I'm (re) learning to color for calming myself in the evenings. Got kinda tired using the old fashioned pencil sharpener. Bonus: If you have nieces or nephews at the ages of 5 and under this is a wonder-machine for them.
