Beautiful and functional Bible
I finally found a beautiful Bible, in the NKJV with a very high quality binding in soft blue goatskin and beautiful gold/blue guilting. The print size and font are perfect and easy to read with a verse by verse format. The verse numbers are generally a burgundy color on black print. The words of Jesus are in red and there the verse numbers are black on the red. The cross references are on the top of the outer edge of the page and leaves a wide margin on much of the page. The concordance is extensive AND the maps have a detailed map index (something that is lacking on many Bibles these days). I have been looking for the "perfect" bible for myself since 1976. I have many good study bibles (KJV & NKJV even an ESV) and have had some bibles with wonderful craftmanship over the years but this one has all the great features I love in one Bible - and the dimensions are perfect for me too. Great paper, great print, great binding (my dad was a book binder by profession so I know good binding when I see it) and it is still less than 1.5 inches thick with the text block being just over 9X6". The cover has a good yapp and thus measures: 9 7/8 X 6 1/2" It has three very nice ribbons in three shades of blue. Again, this is the best two column reference Bible I've owned in 46 years. I only wish I had this years ago. (I started with the KJV in the 70's but went to the NKJV in the later 1980's. I have strong feelings for the TR MSS and both NKJV and KJV)

Comfortable to the eyes
This is one of the best Bibles I’ve owned. The quality is great. Most of all it’s comfortable and smooth to the eyes when reading because the print size and the words are bold and dark on the paper. The quality of paper is excellent. There’s hardly any show through from either side of the page. Since it’s a verse by verse, it’s easy to find the verses and preach from it.

Incredible Quality
The type setting, binding, and overall quality of this are phenomenal. It's a work of art. If you're reading this just go ahead and buy it, you won't be disappointed.

“Out Standing Bible”
Awesome Bible. Easy comfortable reading. Nice goatskin leather, supple to the touch. I love the layout as well. Cambridge did a great job putting this Bible together. Quality made at its best. This Bible will last for many years. Only negative is that the paper gsm can be slightly thicker. It has not curled on me yet compared to there older editions. I plan on using this Bible for personal use and for seminary schooling. Light weight and easy to carry. Not like other heavier Bibles out there. You cannot go wrong with this purchase. Check out the photos. This is a dark blue edition.

The Nearly Perfect Bible
If you are new to high-end or "premium" Bibles, this is a great place to start. I have Allans and Schuylers, but this is my favorite. The green goatskin cover is supple. Cambridge's typesetting is second-to-none. I wanted something easy on the eyes, with margins to write in, and the Topaz has both qualities. The one thing I wish is that there was more of an Allan-style yapp. If Cambridge did that, there'd be no beating it.This is definitely worth the money. This is the equivalent of one electric bill, three fill-ups at the gas station, or one day at the fair. By contrast, you could have this Bible for a couple of decades or more. Do it.

Great Bible but cheaper elsewhere
A very fine goatskin leather NKJV Bible with a wonderful new typesetting!! But, you can save yourself a lot of money by buying it for $240 at evangelical Bible.

Good, but has flaws
This is a beautiful and expensive bible. With this kind of an investment, you want a perfect bible. While this is not the case here, it does have many strengths.I wanted a verse-by-verse NKJV preaching bible. This one delivers on that. The size 10 text is larger and easier to read than my Thomas Nelson size 11 text bible. Almost no bleedthrough on the paper, which is great.Overall, it is clear that this bible was a team effort. Some parts of the team did a world-class job. Others slept on the job.Pros:-Great binding (though it doesn't lay completely flat in Genesis)-Stunning font, spacing, & margins-The best paper you can get (very little bleedthrough)-Excellent cover-Excellent bookmarks-One of the only high quality NKJV verse-by-verse (instead of paragraph) format bibles availableCons:-Overly expensive-Only red letter available (some will like this)-One of the gospels has OT quotations italicized, but none of the rest of the NT books share this format (big oops)-No indication of new paragraphs-In many places in the prophets and some poetic sections, the formatting gets awkward. Really awkward. This bible is strictly verse-by-verse, which is good, but does not adjust quotes or peotic sections well. There are hundreds of examples of this. See example below:Jeremiah 22:7Typical v-b-v NKJV bible:I will prepare destroyers against you,Everyone with his weapons; They shall cut down your choice cedarsAnd cast them into the fire. This NKJV bible:I will prepare destroyers against you, Everyone with his weapons; They shall cut down your choice cedars And cast them into the fire.Instead of either starting new lines with capitalized words or lower-casing words that are mid-sentence, this bible takes the nonsensical middle approach. Conclusion:I am keeping this bible because of the lack of good alternatives on the market. It is a beautiful bible, but I wish the flaws would be corrected in an updated edition.
