Troy Lee Designs A3 Uno MIPS Bicycle Helmet

Took a chance and ordered this helmet without ever getting to try one on. I was pleasantly surprised to find the fit is excellent (I have a round-shaped head that doesn't always lend itself to all helmets fitting).I adjusted the straps slightly to fit and went for a ride. No bounce and barely noticed it on. The ratchet mech is easy to use and snugs it up without pinching, the wheel is kinda tucked in but still easy enough to turn with summer gloves on. Not sure I'll leave the foam sweat dam thing in but it does seem to work and very impressed the helmet comes with an extra liner and extra sweat dams. The magnetic latch does take a second to get used to but works very well and is easy to use with gloves on. The fit and finish are excellent and the peak is easy to move and runs high enough that it doesn't bother my vision even with my head down.I wanted a MIPS MTB specific helmet with a bit more protection and the A3 fit the bill perfectly. I've had good luck with TLD products and this helmet is no different.

The fit is amazing. The size chart is totally on point. The extras they include are top notch. I feel so much safer wearing this helmet. Totally worth the extra cost, hands down.

I purchased these helmet after I crashed and cracked my other helmet. My other helmet was an Oakley DRT5. It was great but the BOA system was tight and uncomfortable on the temples. So that was another factor to search for a different brand.This was my first TLD product and I must say it is VERY comfortable. It does have options to change the sweat band on the inside and the inner liner. The adjustable nob feels extremely comfortable and snugged compared to the BOA on the DRT5. I also liked that this helmet came with stickers to customize your helmet or your bike.Although I have not crashed heading my head since, I do feel safe with this product since it covers the back of your head. Super excited I selected the A3.

I know this helmet is a little expensive but having peace of mind with mips was a huge deciding factor for me. This helmet is super light, fit is SO perfect, air flow is great. Just spend a few extra bux and protect your thinker! You'll thank yourself!

This helmet has everything. Besides that it looks GREAT. With all that, I want to wear it all the time I'm riding.

Great helmet. Incredible fit and comfort. Very high in the price range but worth every penny. I don't like wearing a helmet in Florida but this one does circulate the air really well and it wicks the sweat away from your eyes. I highly recommend it.

I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos when I started looking for a helmet for riding my mountain bike. This one got consistently great reviews and I’m giving it one more. Comfortable, light weight and great protection. I’d definitely buy this helmet again.

Pretty light & comfortable even after several hours of riding. The price should be drastically cheaper since it's built in China.

This is an exceptionally well rated, well reviewed helmet by Troy Lee Designs. The A3 is their top of line and it isn't cheap. However, my first few days tell me this is an exceptional helmet. The A3 sports the latest MIPS technology, with a floating inner liner wrapped in a beautiful dual density foam helmet. This helmet earns a 5-star crash rating from Virginia Tech. I chose the black and gray camo with the red back (to match all the red anodized jewelry on my trail bike).As for comfort, you could wear this all day. The micro-adjust wheel at the rear is all you need to dial in the fit. The helmet also comes with a very neat magnetic chin strap locking clip. I love this feature, as you can take your helmet on and off with full fingers gloves. Tons of ventilation (16 vents) that allows great airflow up and over the head and out the exhaust ports in the back. The helmet comes with two complete sets of inner pads, so you can swap out for washing. It also has a very cool Sweat Glide system to keep sweat from dripping in your eyes. My box came with two spares. I like the visor, which has 3 positions, so way better adjustment over the A2. For goggle wearers, this is great, as you can actually mount the goggles up high when you aren't using them. The visor is longer than the A2's and should do a decent job of keeping the sun out of your eyes. All told, this is a rock solid helmet and if you care about you brain, this is a no-brainer (haha) purchase. See you on the trails.
