for the price, I was expecting a little better optics. the weight and feel is really good for my little guy to feel like he has real binoculars. I like the feel of them myself. perfect for a small face but that makes it difficult for me to set up for him given I can't see properly through them because of my adult size head.overall, it's a good toy that keeps him occupied and you engaged with trying to get him a good view and understanding of which end to look through. My son prefers to look out the wrong end so things are far away for some reason. likely he has less difficulty with that end and doesn't have to fuss with focus.

Bought this for a grandchild. She was amazed at the detail she could see at great distances. It will be great for traveling as well as exploring among the trees on hiking trips with her Dad.

These are Christmas gifts and I am pleased at how nice they appear and seem to be sturdy. Hopefully the children will enjoy these binoculars.
