My mother and I are trying to eat healthy and lose weight together. Neither of us are fond of cooking and we are both disabled (standing over an oven or grill for too long may land one of us in the ER). Knowing this, I decided to purchase some convenience items designed to make cooking easier on both of us. I must say that this was our favorite, by far. The meat thermometer is accurate, intuitive, and easily customized to your personal tastes (e.g. rare, medium rare) for different types of meat. Everything we've made with it has been juicy, delicious, and cooked to perfection, whereas before all of our cooking resulted in dry, flavorless meat. This is an A+ product and would make a great gift as well, especially for those folks out there that seem to have everything.

I used this product four times and on the 32nd day of owning this product it quit working completely. Unfortunately, it only had a 30 day return policy. BEWARE! Only buy this product if you only want to use it a few times.

Purchased the InnerChef IC-7 Digital Meat Thermometer back in July 2016. It worked well enough the first few times and then I had trouble getting the meat temperature to read on the unit. It became a crap shoot as to whether or not it would function. Finally a few weeks ago, it completely stopped showing the internal temps.I sent emails to the company to try and get a replacement probe (after reading other reviews, I figured that may be the issue.) I have not ever heard back from the company. Are they even in business? If this unit (or any unit) by InnerChef is available, STEER CLEAR OF IT!!!This is not my first wireless thermometer. My old one (I wish I could remember the brand - I received it as a gift) worked for many years before it was broken (an unfortunate drawer accident.)

I purchased this because my old one (of 1 years) finally died. I thought it would be similar. Unfortunately, I didn't get to use it until after my 30 days were expired to return it. I have cooked steak with this three times and had it set to "meat" "med rare". All three times when it beeped, it was well done. Ruined perfectly good rib eyes. And as an FYI, I seared them on the griddle and finished them off in the oven, which is when I put the probe in. Waste of money. Ruins food. Don't buy.

Works great so far. This is the first meat probe that I have ever used. I love that I can take the monitor with me no matter where I am in the house. I have a 2 story house and I have no problems monitoring what's cooking from upstairs. Now I don't have to go down and check periodically. The alarm goes off once it hits the temperature I have set it to.

Works great. The alarms are preset with the type of meat that you are cooking. If you want to cook something well done, the alarm keeps going off even after you reset it. Wish that you could set the temperature that you want instead of presets. Has a good distance coverage for the signal. Other that the temperature issue I really like it.

could not be more pleased. Ordered two. cooked a 10 lb roast with both probes side by side in the roast in different locations Monitored from 60 feet away for 7 hours. prob transmits readings every 30 seconds. both probes reached and read the pre installed temp at same time. Placed in heating water and hot oil compared against a Taylor candy,jelly, frosting thermometer. Taylor has a range of 100 to 320 degrees. InnerChef range 32 to 420 degrees. readings were within 2 degrees of the Taylor during the target ranges. For the money this is an extremely accurate devise.

I've used it on the grill and the over so far with no problems. I like that both the base/probe and the display have separate power switches which will save on batteries. The only thing I've noticed is the display isn't readable at many angles and there's no magnet on the display unit. My prior temperature probe had both those options but was not wireless.
