2007 Jeep Liberty , 42" curved or straight light bar
I used these to install a 42" curved light bar and it was a perfect fit. It will take 1 person 10-20 minutes to mark the placement so the light bar will fit correctly. If I had a2nd person to help me it would have taken 5 minutes to mark the placement . If you plan on using these to install a light bar on a 2007 Jeep Liberty by yourself, know that you will need to stand on your hood up by the wipers. I'm 185 and it had no problem holding my weight. I wasn't moving around gingerly or anything like that. 1 foot on the tire the next one up by the wiper blade. It's the only way to test fit the light bar to see if the brackets are in the right place.I'll try to post some pics in the next few days and use a tape measure to show how far back from the windshield they need to be to fit a straight or curved light bar. I've tried 2 curved and a straight and they all fit. The straight bar was a little tighter of a fit. When I take the pics I'll also measure the distance between the mounts, that way you will know if the light bar your looking to buy will fit. BTW moving the mounts a little bit forward will add an inch or two between the mounts.I hopes this helps any of you fellow KJ owners out there. It took me hours of google/Amazon searching before I was confident enough to buy the light bar and mount with a high degree of certainty that it would all work out and it did. Then I tried 2 other light bars and they worked too.I assume these will also work on any 02-07 Jeep Liberty, their pretty much the same exact body.

I am thinking that there is a good possibility that some of the negative reviews are people ...
I read a lot of mixed reviews on these, but decided to give them a shot anyway. I installed them with no problems to my 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500. I am thinking that there is a good possibility that some of the negative reviews are people that purchased the incorrect product. They came with no instructions, which it says in the product description if you read that far. They also included 6 threaded inserts (rivnuts) and hardware, as well as a foam "pad" to go between the mounts and your vehicle. I had 0 problems installing these. I was a bit concerned after reading the reviews, but it went super smoothly! I used a step bit to get the holes the right size before inserting the rivnuts. There are tons of videos about DIY tools and such, but I bought this one at my local Menard's for $15 : Surebonder 8510 6-32, 8-32, 10-24, 10-32, 1/4-20 Threaded Insert Tool It's definitely not meant for industrial uses, but for a weekend doing your own and a buddies it will work great. The last thing I did before actually inserting the rivnuts was to put a big glob of silicone in the hole and around it to help weather seal it better. They look great and are very solid. Check out the pictures.

It installed easily. A couple of the rivets didn't crush correctly
Very well made and strong. Shipping was fast. The picture is of a GMT400 (88-98 chevy trucks) despite saying 1999-2006 in the title. I read reviews of people using these on their GMT400's and it working. It installed easily. A couple of the rivets didn't crush correctly. It was easy to get some new cheap ones. I don't think they were especially defective though. It was the first time I installed blind rivets. But the issue I had was that they did not contour well enough under the door in my 1995 K1500. the top of the door would hit the bracket and be forced up. Which created a small gap that would let in more wind noise, not big enough to see rain come through. Bottom line is, these are not for the picture shown of a GMT400 and will need to be reshaped to fit correctly. They are very sturdy so I rate them high as I assume the title is what they are for 1999-2006 models. But that sturdiness also will be an issue when I go to to reshape them for my application, it's going to take some doing...

Brackets are great for the price if you don't have rivet gun for nut inserts use self tapping screws
Bracket looks quality made had to bend it a little to make it fit my 52 inch curved but I expected that I figured my bar was different from the one they used to model the brackets for the nut inserts it comes with should not be used if you do not have the rivet gun to install them with i.m.o. if you don't have the rivet gun install the brackets with self tapping screws I used the nut inserts but I have the gun to install them with if you use the inserts without the gun don't be surprised if the nuts come out of the holes you drilled these brackets were put on a 2004 Chevy Z71 tahoe

Perfect Fit! Excited
The media could not be loaded. These brackets fit perfectly. The build is nice. The style is simple but effective. The hardware.... well it works. Just dont strip the bolts. For my 02 Tahoe this kit makes it look like stock. The door closes perfectly everthing fits and funtions as it should. The metal is nice and coated. It gives it the extra rugged look. I hope this video helps you and suscribe to my YouTube channel. You will be happy with this purchase

Read my "UPDATE"
Ok So I order this and a 52" curved LED light bar. Installed these brackets then when I went to install the light bar it was to long for these brackets on my 2001 Chevy Tahoe! Good thing the light bar lens was shattered upon opening the box, so I returned it and order a 50" curved bar from another vendor. Hopefully the 50" will fit. I could have bent these brackets to make it work but why?I'll update when I get the 50" bar and see if that works better. There is a little wind noise like the door is not closed tight, but it is. I need to see why that is, The bracket is installed under the rubber door seal."UPDATE"So after doing a little more research the "52inch" light bar I order was actual 53 1/2" long so yea this was my fault for not reading the total length of the bar. The 50" bar I order is actual 52" long so it should work. I think manufacture needs to state that the total length of a light bar is 52" or for a 50" light installed on this make and model vehicle.MAKE SURE BEFORE ORDERING A LIGHT BAR TO CHECK TOTAL LENGTH OF THE BAR!
