Would the levers stay locked on rough roads if installed along the vertical section of a motorhome’s battery hold down?

Thank you for the opportunity to address the concern of the cam buckles not allowing the web to slip during rough travel. We do not test these assemblies on a vibration table, we only have anecdotal information. Because these are stainless, they are regularly sold in the marine industry, and are commonly used on boats in a variety of tie down configurations. Speedboats, especially bounce around and we have had zero complaints that the cam buckles become loose or otherwise lose tension. Because most straps are polyester and polyester is designed to stretch, it is more likely the polyester will stretch a little than the web will slip through the cam teeth. We also sell these on our cooler straps, coolerstrap.com, and have had positive feedback and success.

How o you attach this to a strap ?

Polyester, nylon, polyprolylene or Kevlar webbing is most commonly attached to the cam buckle by sewing. We recommend a minimum thread size 138 (135 Tex).

Works perfect on a kayak seat

I bought a used kayak and the seat cam lock was seized from salt water exposure. I took my grinder and maul to the old one and had this one on in 10 minutes and it’s working great. I have a spare if this one craps out over time.

Mine were different than shown, they had rivets on the side. Hopefully they are the 316 stainless. appear to be good quality just different than shown.

Well made and Strong!

I bought these to make 3 straps to secure a leaning post cushion on my boat. They are excellent & well made of Stainless Steel so they don't rust or corrode. They could be used for many scenarios where straps are used outside in the weather elements.
