Not Ball- but still really good
Mason jar lids have been really hard to find since the pandemic. I own a small canning business and was getting pretty desperate for lids. I bought these and honestly, they’re pretty good. I have canned roughy 100 jars already with these lids and 99 have sealed without error. The only issue I have with these lids is that they don’t make the classic “pop” sound when they seal like the Ball brand does. They seal and the safety button compresses, there just isn’t the sound. These lids are incredibly affordable and so far, so good for me.

I think these lids will work.
I just received my order of 200 regular mouth lids today. First thing, I weighed the lids to see if there was a difference in the weight of my leftover Ball lids and these generic brand lids. Five Ball lids weighed 1.1 oz. and 5 of these generic brand lid weighed 1.0 oz. A difference of 1/10 of an ounce over 5 lids is not too bad in an emergency. Next I vacuum sealed 3 jars. All 3 jars sealed just fine. With these jar lids, I think we need to check the jars before sealing for any abnormalities--even more carefully than usual. They will probably not be as forgiving as our tried-and-true Ball lids. Overall, I think these lids will work just fine during our current extraordinary circumstances.

Better than nothing
These lids are cheaply made, thin metal, most of them have dents in them. 15% of them were badly dented around the edges and are not usable probably because they are shipped in a bubble bag, a box would definitely be better suited for shipping. I ordered these because I am having trouble finding lids in local stores. These are not good but I guess better than nothing. I have not used any yet to see if they seal or if they hold a seal. I am really hoping I can get the Ball, Mason or Kerr lids I am used to and these are just a back up supply.

Refill lids
Packaged well. The count was correct. I haven’t used them yet but they seem like they will work fine. I just wish that I could have found them in the USA You never know what you are going to get from China. 🕵️

Just as good as name brand
This lid works just as well as name brand expensive lids.

Ok for fridge storage maybe-but not for canning
These felt like they might work, but I did a test run and one out of the five that I tried popped out at the top. I have included a picture. The other concern I have is that the listing says BPA free, but the box does not. I think these might be OK if you want to just throw some leftovers in the fridge and use these lids, or maybe to store coffee, sugar, or some other dried goods. I would hesitate to use them for canning because I’m unsure if they are safe. Just my two cents. They were so inexpensive that I will however keep them to store buttons and things like that, so I can save my harder to get (and more expensive) made in USA lids for my actual canning.

The rubber seals are very narrow
I am almost afraid to use these, the rubber seal is so much smaller than I am used to. If I go through all of the trouble of making applesauce, then use these lids to seal them, and they don't work, I have lost valuable time and money. Has anyone really used these in canning fruits and vegetable, and did they seal correctly and stay sealed?
