I am constantly buying books from Amazon, but only give feedback when the book merits my extra energy to do so. This book is complete on the subject of seashore plants, names, growing details, its uses, including medicinal uses, which is my target interest. WOW! Written by a resident biologist, it includes one or two color photos of each plant, instead of only a description or a drawing. Furthermore it not only includes exclusive seashore plants, but I could identify plants that can be found and grown farther from shore areas. It is like a small encyclopedia to be carried wherever you go searching to identify those free growing plants. I truly recommend this book to those interested in this material whether you live in the Caribbean area or in Florida.

Very informative book with color photos for identification. Will be using this when I work in the Caribbean!

NIce book. Would like to see an update. Some of the plants shown are now listed as invasive in South Florida or are not recommended to be planted. Otherwise a very comprehensive guide for an ecosystem that is not as well covered as it should be.

I got this book because I was going to Jamaica and I wanted to do some exploring. It gave me some very informative information, I enjoy reading.
