Sur La Table Provencal Stoneware Salt Box 9030-1003, White

This salt box is well made and came very nicely and securely packaged. The company is obviously proud of their products and wants to exceed your expectations in customer service, which I appreciate.Although it is a little less white/modern and more white/antiqued than I expected (the picture does not accurately reflect what it looks like in person), it is still a very nice piece and I keep it out on my counter. I have it filled with Maldon Sea Salt Flakes. It has a very large opening and is easy to reach in to. I prefer the box to the salt pig, because I have cats and wanted my salt keeper to have an actual lid. This ceramic box is much more attractive and refined than a plastic or even wooden box would be, as well.

I like the box, it looks really nice. However this is false advertising as this is NOT Sur La Table brand. I have another Sur La Table salt box and all of their stone wear has their label on the bottom. This product says "Cusine de Provence" on the back.....not Sur La Table.My only concern is that this product is possibly a knock-off from China with the possibility of it not having used food-grade safe paint and it is poisoning our salt that we use each day.

Just the right size, and it looks great in my kitchen. Glad I purchased. It would make a great gift, as well.

Needs a seal to be useful for food.... so we are using it for wrapped candies.

I love the French country style and size is good, not as big as many. My removal of one star is only because I don't know yet if the lack of a seal around the lid will cause the salt to cake up. But visually, it's great for my kitchen.

I got this saltbox and it's just perfect. matches my kitchen and it works exactly the way I wanted it to. Whether I need to use a measuring spoon or want to just grab a pinch... I love it!

I'm very doubtful this is truly a Sur La Table salt box. I've owned two others purchased directly from Sur La Table and there are some very obvious quality differences. The finish on this one is not as nice as the true Sur La Table brand. Further, the lid does not fit well at all. That said, it is cute and I will give it a try but buyer beware...this could very well be a knock-off,

What a wonderful asset to my kitchen and great convenience to my cooking. Absolutely love this product so glad I made this purchase.
