Awesome quality flashlight and charging box
My son is into tech and told me about one of these flashlights and at first I was skeptical. But I went ahead and bought one despite the fact that I thought it was pretty pricey. Now I’m glad I did. First of all, it’s a very small compact flashlight, but one of the brightest ones I’ve ever seen. This thing is blinding and will light up an entire house just about. Then there is the charging box which I have not plugged in in several months. The flashlight is sitting in that box and is keeping a high charge because the box itself also gets charged and then becomes a charger for the flashlight. I also have another one. It is a more current version that shows the percentage on the side and it’s still at 99% on the side of the charging box several months after I got it and I use both of them constantly around the house. The charging box itself is very high-quality, and the flashlight itself is absolutely high-quality and solid and very bright. I love the colors as one is red and one is blue… Once you have the product in your hand, you will realize that the price is absolutely worth it. I’ve seen people spin big money on those big flashlights, and they are not even close to being as bright. I highly recommend these.

A must if you are a hat wearer
I originally had received the s1r baton II as a gift from a former employee who knew I always wore a ball cap and boy what a gift. So I had to purchase this right awayI love that the light is so lightweight that it will not pull your hat down. I love that the button to adjust the light is on top of your hat. I love how strongly the clip grips your hat bill.Of course if you aren't using this solely for the clip for a headlight, I am sure there are brighter, better models from olight or competitors. But I will say this is 110% my most used tool. Not to mention very easily rechargable in a compact case. I have used this so many days without ever running out of charge (the indicator lights are fantastic) I seriously can't think of any complaints. If people are complaining about battery life or anything, remember this thing is as big as my thumb and shines a very very bright beam at the touch of a button for at least a half hour and it can stay on muuchhh longer than a half hour if not at max setting (which is plenty bright.) I love the strobe feature too.. man I just love this flashlight

Perfect for travel or mobility
This is a definite game changer for someone that is on the go. The flashlight is tremendous, with excellent light output. It's small size makes it ideal to keep with you all the time. The clip allows you to put on a hat, pocket, or molle, so the options are vast. But this carrying case, recharging the light, extends your ability to use it when you aren't near a vehicle or outlet. So for travel, or backpacking, or just daily use, this is absolutely something you will appreciate. Worth the money

A case where you get what you pay for, but you should still buy it on sale.
Don't get me wrong it's expensive for what it is, which is basically a little EDC pocket light that there are hundreds of on the market; every single one of which is cheaper than this. That being said there are none out there better than this in it's class. Olight has it's critics (mostly about their cool white / low-CRI emitter choices and proprietary batteries), but when it comes to build quality and color choices there are none. This is probably the one light in their catalog that not even hardcore flashlight enthusiasts can knock too much.It can be as bright as you'd need for 99.99% of scenarios where you'd use a flashlight. And also has a moonlight mode you'll find out if you haven't already will quickly become a necessity in a flashlight. Magnetic tail is nice. The optic creates a nice wide hotspot. The charger case is a pretty unique concept and definitely a winning one. I toss the light in it anytime I'm not carrying or using it.My knocks on the light are very nit-picky because it's pretty close to the perfect little light. This is the 3rd gen and they haven't changed this but the clip orientation is somewhat annoying. I'd rather they had it clipped to the light at the tail end because putting it in the pocket with the lens up is not ideal especially since they don't provide glass for protection. It's an exposed plastic optic but I don't have any complaints about that. Yes it's a double ended clip but what is usually the hat clip end now becomes the pocket clip end for me. I'm also not sure why and if this is standard for Olight but moonlight mode becomes a memorized mode if you turn it off while using that mode. It makes no sense because you always have access to it by holding the button from off so there is no reason to memorize it. It's the only advanced UI flashlight I've used that memorizes moonlight and I'd love to know their rationale because I can't think of a single scenario you would want that.Last note: as great as this light is I'd still recommend never paying full price. It may be worth it but it's a hard sell. Fortunately you'll find deals on this light often on here and other places. You'll be much happier spending that much on a little light knowing you got a deal for it.
