I wanted a simple system for charting day-to-day plans with my preschooler. As you'll know if you're here reading reviews, there are a LOT of options out there--ranging from pretty but impractical wooden items to flashy star charts. It's surprisingly hard to find one that's (1) visual (2) not difficult to update (3) does more than one simple thing. This set does all 3. What I like: -There's a good variety of magnets for being around the home, with some that are sufficiently vague like "Special Activity." I like this number of options because, while I want specificity, I don't need to sort through a zillion magnets every day. -The provided board is sturdy and the magnets stick well to it. -The pictures are, for the most part, clear as to what they represent. We went through the list, and my preschooler (who can't read yet) was able to identify 90% of them correctly. My wishlist of improvements: -There are only 2 "wash hands" magnets and one of most of the rest. It would be nice to be able to have a schedule on my fridge and to also use these magnets for a star chart for potty training. Now, given, that's me wanting this product to do double duty, but a girl can dream when her magnets cost $40. -Some of the magnets curl at the corners. They stick fine, but still. -The paper fronts of the star magnets come off easily. I love that stars are included in this set, but my child shredded the covers off 3 of the star magnets before I had finished separating the days of the week. (If you know how fast kids can be, you know.) I don't pretend to know how to make a sturdier magnet front, but that would be nice--given that I can't be the only person with a kid who will pull on loose paper if given the option. All in all, worth the buy, and it seems like this brand has the market cornered on quality + variety for the time being. Am interested in adding the others sets as my little one grows!

Speech therapist recommended we make or purchase a visual schedule for our son (who is just under 3) and diagnosed with autism. It has been a huge lifesaver in helping him understand what we are doing "next" and preventing big meltdowns as we try to transition from one activity to the next. Coupling this with a visual timer works wonders. I think it's a great value for the price. Initially, I sat on the decision to buy this for a long time. It looked expensive and I wasn't sure I'd get enough out of it. I have completely changed my mind on that. It comes with a vast assortment of activities--many of which are not relevant to us yet as our little one isn't in school at the moment--and extra markers for days of the week/time of day etc. For us, this is more like an investment for the future. Right now, we may only need to use about 10 activity cards and five little stars but there is almost something reassuring about having all those other things available for when they are needed down the road (and we are starting to understand that this is not a short-term solution but a long term one that will be needed for years). For anyone considering this for other reasons: - There are "chores" in here and "all done/star" indicators. It would make a great chore chart. Things like making bed, doing dishes, brushing teeth etc. - There are today/tomorrow tiles as well so you can help your kid prepare for tomorrow in an easy-to-understand way.

We haven’t tried it with our son with autism yet but it came as described. It’s great quality, love all the magnets for different activities and I believe this is a wonderful visual tool for kids who need that little extra help. Very pleased with this purchase!

Perfect, very didactic and with a great quality, it has aroused my son's interest in participating in the tasks of the routine of life, for an atypical family this is fundamental and inclusive, it helps in development and independence!
