Boss TU-02 Clip-on Tuner

Love this Boss Tuner although I have the Boss TU-3 Tuner pedal and access to tuners on my Boss GT-1 and GT-100. This clip on is convenient to use when I am not plugged into my main pedal board or multi effect units. I use it when I just want to plug straight into my amp with no effects or anything, just like when I first started playing guitar decades ago. Plus I am also using it while setting up guitars or changing strings. The display is bright and nicely designed that is easy to read. The clip has a nice thick cushion and stays on guitar firmly. The swivel allows for versatile placement for viewing just about anywhere on the headstock. Build quality is top notch and you cannot expect anything less on that from Boss. Will be purchasing more in the future.

I recently purchased the Boss TU-02 Clip-On Tuner after researching tuners online.I needed a display that was easy to read and accurate for my 6 string guitar. The TU-02 definitely fit the bill.It has a bright and colorful display and is very fast and accurate as other more expensive tuners. I requires only 1 CR2032 battery.I have used other Boss products and am very glad I chose this one as well!!!

I bought this tuner after having used Snarks for many years. The chief attraction was that the hinge and connecting mechanism appeared sturdier than the Snarks whose ball joints on the back of the tuner head tend to fail after a time. In most ways, it has met my expectations. It is fast, stable, and easy to read. I would happily give it five stars except for one minor annoyance. The button on the left side of the tuner serves as the on/off button when pressed and held. It is also used to cycle through various modes (guitar, bass, chromatic, etc.) with a quick press and release. It is altogether too easy to change the mode while simply trying to turn the tuner on or off. It is a minor aggravation. but an aggravation nonetheless. Otherwise, it has met my needs perfectly.

Delivered on time. Tuner is worth every penny. Unfortunately, the clip is too small for my Traveler Escape Mk III. Works perfectly with all my other guitars.

Works with 5 and 6 string basses

It's not shown in the photos, but this has three buttons. It has a one (giant) page manual that explains what they do in 9 (I think) languages. Very easy to operate, and easy to read. I thought my guitar was pretty well in tune until I got this. The product description shows all the features, which are more numerous than I really need.

Been playing guitar for 30+ years. Clip-on tuners became a thing a little while ago and I had some other brands before getting this one. This seems to be the most accurate and easy to read of the units I tried. Can't really miss with Boss products.

This would be 2 1/2 stars if I was allowed to leave that rating.I hate to say it because I'm a big Boss stan, but this little gadget unfortunately only gets close to the right note, but can be off by a few cents flat or sharp. I've boosted the signal to make sure that wasn't the issue, & I've changed placement on my headstock, but it remains a few cents off regardless. It looks great, but I don't use it much because of these issues.

This unit works perfectly, is easy to read and is bang on tuning with my tuning fork and other tuners I have!!

Al mes de tenerlo la pantalla empezó a hacer como falso contacto y prende muy tenue a menos que presione la pantalla con fuerza.

Compact avec un très bon contraste et couleurs vives et la grosseurs des lettres sont parfaites. On voit très bien sans se forcer les yeux. Je recommande mais pas pour les enfants car l’écran n’est pas détachable et par manque de délicatesse, l’enfant pourrait le casser. C’est la seule raison pourquoi je donne 4 étoiles.

Works with all sorts of instruments and can change frequency from 440Hz to 432Hz.
