Quality made
Quality made - build for the price, unlike the cast iron black one's commonly sold - similarly priced online, mine of which quickly became unusable and I've since thrown out.

Good entry level vise. I upgraded after a month of tying jigs.
It is a very basic vise that needs adjustment when setting up for different hooks sizes. Once set, it provides a nice stable base for tying.

A Christmas hit!
Gave this to our 7 year old “obsessed with fishing” grandson for Christmas and it was a hit! He imidiately learned how to use the vise (thanks to his Dad and a quick lesson) and he was able to make several different types of flies in one afternoon. The vise worked great and held his work tight.

A nice but defect tying tool.
The tool can not claim larger hook, and not hold even smaller size tied. It’s defect. I used it a few times, the defected claim could not hold the hook tied, and the hooks hooked my hands 3 times. It hurts. The plastic package was broken and dirty, no big deal I am not using plastic bag anyway. It will costs me more to return it, to 10 miles away UPS store.

Not a bad little vise.
I just needed a travel vise for my trips up into the mountains of East Tennessee. This one is perfect for my needs. Wouldn't recommend it as a home vise; however, if you're just starting out and not sure if you're going to stick with it, this one would be a choice. If you get addicted to the art then you can always get one with all the bells and whistles.

Cost effective not cheap.
Wasn't expensive and met my needs. I used it to tie 50 3/4 and 1oz bucktail jigs for flounder so far.

Just what I needed
It is just whay I thought it would be!

Cheap price for a cheap vice
Junk. The screw that holds the stem stripped the first use. I also had to add another washer to the jig clamp to make the grip tight enough to hold a jig.
