I’m only on the first 50 pages at least, but so far is great! Very educational and definitely good read for people that believe in every word that conventional vet says. Feeding kibble your dog is not good, my Both cat and dog are raw fed now for nearly 2 years. Keep as natural as possible

This book is a must buy for all loving dog parents. It has made us realise how much more we can do for our beloved pets, and we have. From changing food to fresh raw and adding some magical toppers full of goodness to natural pest repelants and treatments etc. Its all here.Thank you so much Dr Karen Becker and Rodney Habib, we owe you so much.All i can say is this is the go to book, highly recommended.

Thoroughly researched & authors personal mission due to loss of their own pet & rising diseases in our beloved pets.Many may scoff but because your vet won't accept what is known but by keeping their pockets fat is masking those issues & not getting to the root and fixing appropriately.This book is one of those to add to the way we care for our beloved pets. Knowledge is key...and some of the info in here pet parents known for 30+ years & like many, incl myself learnt via an holistic vet and undertook the journey.Now it's all in one place.It's worth the read! 5*However, I was expecting more.. especially in terms of layout & was expecting goto info with the actual reference to the data & research and starter recipe's. Knowing that authors have taught us online and produced material prior, this was the downside. But I've been made aware this tool online, but what if you don't want to be online OR it's not available.I still think CANINE NUTRIGENOMICS: THE NEW SCIENCE OF FEEDING YOUR DOG FOR OPTIMUM HEALTH by Diana Laverdure and W. Jean Dodds is also a must have, to knowledge ourselves, this book will sit nicely next to it. Alongside dvd pet fooled (must watch).We all want our 4legged family to live healthier & to a good age.

You will learn so much and help your pet lead a happier and healthier life. I recommend this book to every dog owner I meet. It was recommended to me by my holistic vet and I wish every vet would read it and start considering how important nutrition is in longevity and health. This book will help you make incremental improvements that will add up over time.Most vets sadly have zero education and interest in good nutrition. Herein lies the epidemic of disease our poor companion animals find themselves in. Our pets are bombarded with toxic chemicals and low quality food that is affecting their length and quality of life. If your dog is more than "just a dog", you will embrace the wonderful information in this book.

Yo ya conocía el trabajo de la Dra. Becker y como quién siempre ha tenido perros como mascotas miembros de mi familia, puedo decir sin lugar a dudas que los cambios hechos en la dieta de mis 3 perras han sido de gran beneficio al pasar del alimento seco (croquetas) a la dieta natural (no cruda ya q hay q considerar que desafortunadamente en Mexico hay muchos claroscuros en la forma en que manejan los productos cárnicos). El cambio en la dieta se ve reflejado en la salud de las mascotas directamente, mis perras ya son geriátricas (dos de 13 y una de 11) y puedo decir que debido a la alimentación q sugiere entre sus distintas modalidades ha generado un cambio de gran beneficio en mis mascotas, piel sana (2 son alérgicas y me fue muy complicado encontrar un tratamiento que no incluyera corticoides), digestión sin complicaciones, sus chequeos anuales son excelentes (les hago un examen de sangre completo anual y gracias a su esquema de alimentación los resultados son muy buenos). Para mi ha sido de gran ayuda apoyarme con el conocimiento de la Dra. Becker y Rodney Habíb en conjunto logran en este libro. Yo recomiendo ampliamente su contenido.

The authors explain why they have eliminated the primary sources and links from the text, AND, where you will find them if it is important to you. Thus, there are no conspiracy theories here, just sound reasoning and evidence-based conclusions. I have exposed than one hole in my own execution of homestyle and raw feeding and it may provoke you to change your feeding habits also. While the 2 free examples of raw menus may seem paltry, a quick examination of the web well reveals that there is a healthy commerce in online easy menu planning available for $$$, if you got them. So those 2 menus can provide a useful starting point while you develop insight into this process, and apply your acquired knowledge to design your own menu variants for the mere price of time and effort and love. I started to listen this book as an audio book but very soon I realised that I need to buy this as an actual book. This book arrived on time and was in perfect condition.I love how you can see the love they have for dogs. They tell about studies that has been made, how they were seeing other professionals...Haven't red the whole book yet but this has been one of the best purchages I've ever made when it comes to buying books.
