Perfect for home installation
I got lucky and discovered all of my phone jacks throughout the house were wired with CAT5e. I very quickly re-terminated the ends and installed this patch panel in the basement to take advantage of my home's new found superpowers. It was very easy to install, strain relief is awesome, it came with it's own perfectly sized cable ties (which I promptly misplaced) and it feels absolutely solid.I put labels on the outer shell and they look terrible because of the divots in the metal. If I was to do it again, I'd put the label flat and floating over the valleys rather than contouring the labels to the cover. Maybe I'd put a strip of packing tape over the whole back to flatten it out first. That was really the only frustrating thing about it.

Solid but wall mounting is poor
Easy enough to punch down to and works great, but wall mounting is problematic. Wall mount is done by keyhole slots only, which means horizontal with ports facing down is the only choice (I wanted to mount it sideways). The smaller 8-port version lets you get to the screws that go into the keyhole to tighten them, but this is not possible on the 12 port so you cannot attach it solidly to the wall: you can just "hang it" on the two screws.
