Stormbringer: The Elric Saga Part 2 (2) (Elric Saga, The)

I really appreciated that there were four books in this collection. Each one was its own set of journeys and adventures. The story was so good. The characters were amazing. This will definitely be one that I reread probably yearly. I recommend this book to anybody who likes, dark hero stories, a very moody atmosphere, and fantastical medieval vibes.

michael moorcock is great

I love reading. I love sci-fi and fantasy. Conan and mythology is what got me into fantasy and sci-fi. I have read a ton of both... but never heard of Michael Moorcock and Elric. Now, I love it. This is something which should be made into a TV series... but doubtful anyone will have the courage to do it and remain faithful to the source material. Fantastical fantasy with crazy magic, a tragic hero murdering those closest to him?

Michael Moorcock one of my favorite fantasy writers along with Tolkien, R.A. Salvatore etc. I've been a fan since the 80's when I first heard of Moorcock and his anti hero Elric of Melnibone wielding the Black Blade Stormbringer. If you love the fantasy genre you'll love Stormbringer.

The Elric Saga Part 2 by Michael Moorcock is an outstanding reprint version that captures the essence of the original story. Moorcock's writing style is both engaging and imaginative, drawing the reader into a world of magic and intrigue. The characters are well-developed, and the plot is filled with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. Overall, this is an excellent book that any fan of fantasy literature will thoroughly enjoy. Highly recommended!

I've been waiting a long time for a good reprint of the Elric stories, and today I received the second volume. After receiving Part 1 of the Elric Saga, I knew that I needed the rest. This book (The Elric Saga Part 2) contains "The Vanishing Tower," "The Revenge of the Rose," "The Bane of the Black Sword," and "Stormbringer." The book itself is a little thicker, but physically very similar to the first, as you would expect from a volume set. The spine titles don't match completely, which has always been a pet peeve of mine, but for 99% of people that shouldn't detract from the books themselves. I'm just happy that these stories are being compiled in hardback so that I don't have to pull out my DAW paperback originals. Very pleased with the product(s) so far! Can't wait for the next two volumes!

If you grew up in the 80's playing DnD then this series was required reading back then. Go buy it and enjoy the series again. Elric and Stormbringer are probably some of the coolest fantasy characters out there; odds are your Dungeon Master pulled multiple ideas from this series! Give it a read.One con is that the language is a little older now and it will take you a chapter or two to get used to reading "rich" and meaningful words again, unlike the simple drivel that comes about nowadays. Once you overcome this hurdle you are good to go. It's won't take you long to get used to it again.

Si d'un côté il est très agréable d'avoir les principales histoires d'Elric en deux volumes, la qualité du papier est médiocre, avec des défauts de façonnage, et le choix des rares illustrations est franchement mauvais si l'on excepte celle de la jaquette. De plus, comme dans le premier volume, elles sont jetées sans raison et toutes (4) à la suite entre deux chapitres. Bref, un achat sympa, mais les éditeurs auraient vraiment pu faire mieux pour une saga aussi légendaire.

Fabulous, just fabulous. Everyone needs an Elric in their lives. I have read these stories many times but they still sweep me away into another world. I never get tired of them. This and its companion volumes are lovely quality editions to own. Some beautiful illustrations by the best artists too. Highly Recommended!

This was a great gift for my fiction lover who is enjoying this series very much.
