iPhone 6/6S Case: Patented Design - Mountable, Fully Sealed Water-Proof, Detachable Front/Back Covers, Shock-Proof, Overlay Lens in Different Colors

I purchased this case for a vacation in Jamaca. I tested the unit at home in a tub of water and it worked fine, however when I began using it on a regular basis on vacation it failed to protect my phone. On the third day of use the seal failed (im not sure where) and sea-water penetrated the case ruining my phone.In hindsight, I think using an expensive phone for under water excursions is a bad idea. You can purchase a rugged little camera for not much more than what this case costs. Regardless, I am disappointed in the case, and in myself for trusting it to protect my $700 phone... Bad idea...

I liked it at first. But after 10 minutes in the water water leaked in. Not enough to to kill my phone but enough for it to randomly shut it of.

This review is based on use of the product in various enviornments & situations (SUP- fell in the water, the case didn't leak, lake kayaking, the case didn't leak, snorkeling , the case leaked). As a protective cover, the case is built well enough. As a device meant to protect a phone from a wet enviornment, it is adequate, if certain percautions are taken. Two weak spots are: 1) the snapping clips - each must be be fully functional and set in place by 'feel' and sound & 2) the sealing ring must be inspected and made additionally snug by palm compression. In my opinion, it is not reliable enough to use in 'action' hand held photography in a wet enviornment - a clip may inadvertenly be loosened. I would not recommend using any 'waterproof case' with a phone in an underwater enviornment - the first bubble will cost at least $200 to repair the wet phone. Note 1: If in a 'wet enviornment and the product leaks, it is near impossible to prevent further damage until out of that enviornment. Note 2: In addition, it is easy to use up a lot of memory shooting video, in which circumstance, the phone camera controls will be hard to analyze. Also, will able to view a video on the phone, on my 2013 Imac, after transfer, the video won't play on the computer.

I'm torn between giving the product 2 or 3 stars. I wish I could give it a 2.5, I didn't hate it but I also didn't like it. If you are looking for something to put your phone in for when you go to the beach or by the pool it is totally great for that. Or if you want to feel safe while taking pictures while STANDING in water again great product for that. But if your looking for something to take photos underwater I would STRONGLY pass on this, it leaks.Pros:- I liked the fish eyed photo- Photos outside of the water came out clear and great.- The few photos I took the water came out great.- Phone in case survived being throw into the pool after being thrown into the pool by a toddler. (Only in the water for like 10 secs)- With that said also floats- Lens fogged in one spot but it easy to take apart and clean and put back.Cons-Did the paper test and fine. Put iPhone 6 in the case and water leaks in, tried paper again and dry. There isn't a proper seal, there is a little gap when phone is added into case.- I wanted the case to a scuba trip I was taking to Mexico-If your fingers are wet or the front screen part is a little damp, there is no touch screen. (Suggestion-make sure that you turn off the screen going to sleep mode so that way camera app can be open and use the volume buttons to take pictures)-The screen protector on mine had a blemish on it.

The lens is really awesome and it really is waterproof however the mount started to rust after the first time I used it so it prob won't last that long. The touch screen is a little hard to use but it works. Also, this is great for taking pics but not front camera pics because of the tint on the front of it. Also note, you can't use snapchat as the front screen doesn't work under water :)

I bought this primarily because I love swimming and scuba diving. I do own an older model Go Pro which doesn't have a LCD Screen to view what you're recording so when I saw this case I instantly found the perfect use for it.About the case:The case is well constructed of hard plastic and doesn't feel cheap. The front face has some sort of thin flexible plastic that protects the screen from getting in touch with the water. You can use any of the Go Pro accessories as it has the standard cradle that fits in and it even comes with a screw.The Package:It really well packaged and it looks very well designed.The cons:The only cons I see is that it is somehow hard to press the home button, but you don't really need this as you can just click on the camera icon. Also it is kind of hard to close the latches, but I guess it is necessary to keep everything tight, although I would prefer to have some latches like the ones on the Go Pro Cases.

I bought this item to use for snorkeling and it DID NOT WORK. There was water inside the case when I got out of the water, and my phone ended up breaking. Luckily I have insurance but I still had to pay a $200 deductible. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

I bought this case for a trip to Iceland - notoriously wet with rainy weather, waterfalls, lagoons, etc. i took awesome fish eye images around the country in every weather condition. The case does not make the images blurry. While in a lagoon, I did drop my phone in the water - completely submerged and the phone was totally fine!!! Just make sure you follow the directions and your phone is safely enclosed.
