Break and Enter: A Sexy, Thrilling Romantic Suspense (Callahan Security Series Book 1)

I really enjoyed this story and this is the first book by Lori Matthews that I've read. It was a fun cat and mouse game between the two main characters- a thief with a good heart and a former military man with a strong moral code. I'm always up for a protector romance with some fun action and this one gave me both! I'll definitely be reading book two and look forward to seeing uptight Logan loosen up down in the Bahamas with Lacy! 🏝

Break and Enter is my first read from Lori Matthews and may I just say.....WOW!!! From beginning to end I was mesmerized by this book. Beautiful Alexandra and Hunky Mitch were perfect in this Cat and Mouse game of suspense, humor and aventure. Sexy, fun and delicious. A definite keeper!!!

This was an awesome book!!!! Can’t wait to read the next book!!! Definitely one of my new favorite authors!! Need to binge everything

This one not only kept me guessing till the end but I am still guessing. Gotta read the next in the series to find out.

Good plot, fast paced and kept up your interest. I kept rooting for both Mitch and Alex wondering how they both could come out winners.

This story has lots of action adventure in a fast paced exciting tail of disguises, thieves, bodyguards, hit men and even a high speed car theft with explosions and gun fights. There are so many escapes that Alex seems a bit of a Houdini. The way the story ends well to be honest it leads into the next book , and lots of the mystery is as yet unanswered. I kinda felt the end jumped from him declaring his love into they are together where it may have been fun to read about them being together and how she helped him as his partner in the business. I do like the fast paced high action adventure nature of this story.

if your good you don’t need to keep bringing up about being a seal. there was a few interesting situations but these were drawn out. it was a good start.

Well written, suspenseful, romance that starts off a new series by Lori Matthews. The plot is fast paced, for the most part, with our heroine, Alex, and hero, Mitch playing an intriguing game of cat and mouse. The story is basically plot driven with very little character development. We are given the basics regarding our main characters’ backgrounds and are introduced to characters who will be seen in future books in the series. Overall, the book is well written but I would have liked a little more meat on the bones - more interaction between Alex and Mitch. The ending felt rushed and was basically a cliffhanger with a segue into the next book. Hopefully we will get to meet up with Alex and Mitch again as I would enjoy finding out how they move forward with their lives together.

This book was a Bookbub recommendation and a new author to me. The description of the book sounded appealing so I started to read it. As the story evolved, it became more enthralling and I couldn’t put it down. It is fast paced and has twists to keep the reader on their toes. Highly recommended.
