I bought this anchor for our beach umbrella. I had a table that would have to tote around with us for the umbrella and that was too much. We took this to our family lake house and it worked great in the grass and in sand. It was not windy the day we used it so not sure how it holds up with wind but it is sturdy and I feel it would do okay. Lightweight, compact, easy to travel with!

We bought this to use at the beach and to keep our umbrella from getting ripped out of the sand by a gust of wind and it does just that. Digs into the ground very easily and keeps your umbrella down with any unexpected gust. This will give you peace of mind while you're out swimming and are worried about your umbrella blowing down the beach.

This product definitely helped me in securing my beach umbrella. Easy to screw into sand. The umbrella stayed put even when it was windy. It is made out of plastic which has a sturdy feel. I have only used it once so I am not sure how long lasting it is. At the end of the day it is made of plastic which can potentially break under certain conditions.

usually my fiancé and I take this item with us when we go to the beach instead of lugging around the heavy stand that we have for our umbrella but now we have this. It’s made out of super sturdy plastic and very easy to use! Definitely recommend!

This anchor is made of a poly?-material and it’s hollow from end to end which makes it lightweight to carry. The material is corrosive resistant & easy to hose down. After scraping away the lose, dry sand on top, we easily bored this anchor down into the wet sand. It held our umbrella all day without being uprooted. It was just as easy to remove at the end of the day. So pleased with the product we now have two to use.

Good luck digging into the sand!The angle is not enough to make it penetrate the compressed sand that we have in our maintained beaches. Take a small shovel to dig a hole prior to inserting this anchor into the compressed sand, otherwise it will break prematurely as the sand is hard as cement.

I ordered this for our beach trip and was very satisfied with it's performance. You twist it into the sand and the umbrella just slides right in. You do have to pack the sand around it to help it stay. Our umbrella did get caught in a gust and it fell over because the stand got pulled out of the sand. We just screwed it back in and packed the sand down tighter and it was fine. I would recommend this to others. I may buy a second one for our second umbrella next time. I wanted to test it out before I bought two.
