great amp, great price
Don't let people fool you into thinking you need a thousand watts of amp pushing 4 giant subs for your home theater. My living room is 12x18 feet. The sub is a single Polk CSW100, built into the wall. This little BASH amp is built into the wall of the A/V closet, out of the way and very neat looking. These amps produce much less heat than traditional designs so you can just flush-mount one right in your wall! After all, they're designed to mount in an enclosure and sink their heat to the outside (the front of the amp).Anyway, my setup sounds fantastic. There is a nice 'feel' watching TV and most movies, and if I toss in an action movie or a Metallica CD, I can rattle the whole house with clear, thunderous bass. Honestly, the bass becomes overwhelming and actually annoying long before I can hear any distortion.I give this amp a hearty endorsement for the performance, price, and clean installation.

Works well with 15" AR subwoofer - replaced 200 watt Class AB amp.
It's 7X11 inches. You will most likely need to fabricate a mounting bracket. This will get warm. I mounted to 0.125 alum plate. BASH is a Klipsch trademark? It pushes a 4ohm 15" subwoofer well.Nice features. Same as what came from AR but hopefully won't catch on fire like the AR amps.Checked both high and low level inputs both worked.Sounds best with high level input. Obviously for base only.Replaced speaker leads with 12ga copper. Came with cheap alum 18ga.Otherwise looks well made.

Great Replacement or custom project Amp
I purchased this to build my own home theater (and music) subwoofer. I built a custom sealed box using MDF and picked up a cheap 500W woofer from Walmart. This thing shakes the house, which is what I like for movies. Seems easy on the power usage, doesn't get nearly as hot as regular ones, and is much lighter having no gigantic transformer.Perhaps a bigger one for next time.Update January 2022:Have had this amp for 9.5 years now. Still works very well, the same sub setup is still working perfectly. The amp occasionally needs to be unplugged and plugged back in because it stops working, but other than that, no problems. I am now looking at this amplifier to replace the failed amp in my Polk PWS505 which as failed one month short of four years ownership.

Has slight low level Hum.
No matter what I do or how I hook it up or even unhooked from the stereo and just turned on there is a very slight hum from the speaker give it a slight signal and it seems to go away but I know its still there in the music, so I can't give it more than 3 stars.

Wow
This a great amplifier. Steal of a price. At first i didn't expect too much seeing how its only 300 watts, but wow. I have it hooked up to a pioneer tsw5102 with a peak of 6000 watts in a 2.75 cubic foot box and wow this thing can pound. Its not just noise either it actually sounds really good no distortion and quite crisp. Very pleased and would recommend to anyone looking for a well priced sub amp

Great sound....... But, buyer beware!!
Bought this Bash amp for a sub box project in my living-room and ended up returning it almost a month later because it would run super hot to the touch weather it was off, on standby, or on. The replacement unit worked for a little over a year and a half and now the volume knob has to be jiggled every once in a while for it to work. Being that the warranty is only good for a year, Parts Express could not do anything for me so I'm stuck with a defective unit. It is too bad because this amp really was awesome. I will try to replace the volume knob on the PCB board before I buy another amp from a different manufacturer. The really odd thing is, I own a Klipsch 15 sub box equipped with a Bash branded factory Klipsch amp and that thing has been working beautifully for almost 19 years. This plate amp is not worth the hassle, buy something else. I figure that after going through 2 gently used units with terrible results I might as well give up on the Bash line for good. It's a sad day indeed.

Works as PSW505 Replacement With Some Tweaking
So far so good! I bought this to replace my blown Polk PSW505 amp. I had to seal the ¾ inch gap using a square ¾ inch wooden spacer from local hardware store. I first rounded off the edges on the spacer and then used a speaker sealing putty to seal off the gap as well as four of the old mounting holes. Then drove three wood screws from the side to hold the spacer in pace. Those are in between the four where the amp mounts to.The first four amp holes line up to the original Polk ones but the rest had to created new. Pilot holes are your friends. And finally I just used a sharpie to color the exposed wood. Totally lazy move but works ok since this side will be hidden. As for the sound I haven’t played with it long enough but it sounds at least as good as the Polk.I hope this helps someone out there on the fence.

Nice little plate.
I bought a 400 watt peak 12" SVC 8ohm sub...built a ported box to size...ordered this Bash 300s amp. Fun little project. I am still amazed with the output of these digital amps. This Bash amp has nice funtionality, good sound quality and way more power than I needed. I am running this as one of 2 subs in my little home theater. The other sub is a Polk DSW Pro550. They sound nice together for both music and movies. I am running the volume on the Bash at about 45% compared to the 53% on the Polk. I have the decibal settings on my Yammy RX-A2000 for both subs set to +2db. So far this amp runs very cool with plenty of bark. The auto on setting is very sensitive and the sub turns on at the first hint of low frequency. Very satisfied.
