Elements
Really like this series. Wish they had been available when I was new to paganism and Wicca in general. If you want to work more closely with the elements, or just feel like you can't connect to them this book will help. It's loaded with information.Part one deals with the history and lore and has some interesting information some that I had never heard of before.Part two goes into working with the element of Earth and has lots of good exercises and ideas to help you connect with the element.Part three is full of rituals, recipes, and spells to help you grow and incorporate more of the Earth element in your practice.Overall a great resource for beginners and some useful info for those who have been practicing a while.

Insightful and down to earth
Dodie Graham McKay goes beyond just the ordinary and every day information available in most tomes or online. Her approach to earth magic helps you become one with this element and understand it in ways previously unthought of.

Very detailed
This book is very detailed and very informative about every single thing that could be related to the earth element, including crystals, gods and goddesses, rituals that can be performed, etc. It is a great one to read if you are new to studying the elements and pagan religions or if you just want a refresher on the subject. I really was not expecting so much to read through when I got the copy of the book and was a little surprised to see how much can go into earth magic once you sit down and look at it all.I received a free ARC from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Good book with a few opportunities for improvement
The book was well written and is informative. It does however push a feminist view point that is ironically the mirror image of what it claims was the issue. While mostly written in a neutral frame it likes to point out how historical the "patriarchy" oppressed women, and poor people. Ignore the fact that the majority of people including women would not have access to books and other means of higher learning. I don't see a reason to specifically call out that women where treated differently in a book about earth and magic. I would prefer a neutral stance and leave the personal veiw points of how men and women interact presently and throughout history to be left in a book about that. The Christian faith has done a serious disservice to many cultures and religions throughout history. Disservices that where committed by men and women. Disservices that both sexs continue to do today. But aside from that bias the book was amazing. Just be aware that you will have to accept that the author couldn't leave that out.

Boring
I didn't like this book at all. It came off as very bland and boring. Very basic info, extremely preachy and political views hidden all throughout. Would not recommend at all.
