The Rothco Rip Stop Boonie 7 3/4 size woodland camo is the perfect hat for what I needed. Well made, great heavy duty yet comfortable material, and best of all it actually IS a 7 3/4 size and fits my big old melon head. Very nearly as good a quality as what I use to dig up in surplus stores as a kid, but brand new, even if it is made in China. Extremely comfortable hat, I can't tell you how much better this thing feels on my head than the several other brands I've bought outa box stores over the years. I'll most likely buy a couple in other colors for the heck of it, but I can't imagine wearing this thing out anytime soon, and I'm rough on hats and clothes! Thanks Rothco!Edited to Add: Coming up on 2 years. This is still my everyday hat. Comfortable, looks good, very little wear showing despite me being very hard on hats and clothing. After 2 years it still sheds heavy rain without a hitch, and dries very quickly even when soaked.

This is a true Mil-spec Hot Weather Boonie. It is the 100% cotton ripstop (lightweight) with the gridwork stitching, with stiff, thick brim, and leather keeper tab. It is nice to get an exact size fitment as well, rather than the one-size fits all. Can't say enough good things about it!!!

This is the same exact style and fit as what I wore in the desert. Great quality. Would definitely buy from them again.

My review is a little different, I didn’t buy it to wear myself. I bought it for a military display honoring one of the young men from my hometown who died in Vietnam. I have a photo of him wearing a boonie hat (I have a photo of the mannequin from our display with the hat). This was perfect. But I did try it on and it was comfortable and fit great. To be honest, I was surprised to get this and it be such good quality for such a low price. Very happy with it.

This is an exact duplicate of the one I was often issued for jungle or desert areas, back when we wore desert or woodland camo BDU's in the US military. It is a great hat to keep your neck and face from getting sunburned, and does a surprisingly good job of keeping rain off your neck for a hat with suck a narrow brim. I prefer it to a straw hat for days of yard work or being on the tractor. The air vents let enough heat out but not too much air in.Be advised, this is not the issue item, but that's to be expected since they haven't made any under contract in over 10 years. This is a Chinese made duplicate that totally nails the design and materials, right down to the OD green labels with black writing. I found no flaws in the workmanship.

the brim is not that great and the fit not very snug. when the wind blows its a good thing it has a string or it would be gone. next timr ill just buy another propper brand boonie

I'm over all pleased with this item I got a 7 1/4 size it's a little tight but I can squeeze it on. I wear a snap back hat with 2 thins exposes if that helps with sizing it.

Great product. Fits perfectly. Crushable lets you pack/store it anywhere. Excellent waterproof material.

Bit big but love it

Nice hat, nice light material. I ordered the same size as a previous hat I have, but this one came a bit tighter fitting.. In future I'll follow the size chart.
