I won't read this author again
Done, end of story, i can't take more of these, nothing new, nothing adventurous, just random putting together things, stuff and impossible scenarios.....

Keeps you interested the whole time, non-stop suspense, relatable characters

Zuviel
Für meinen Geschmack zu viele Leichen, völlig wahllos.

terrifying
I keep reading the series but it’s not easy, they are all exhausting to read and I believe that this is probably the most terrifying book I’ve ever read

Scandinavian Noir at its best.
Don't forget to breathe! Now that my heart rate is back to normal all I can say is wow!In this, the seventh installment in the Joona Linna series we revisit the serial killer introduced in THE SANDMAN. Presumed dead due to a finger whose DNA proves it belonged to the killer and a picture of a torso with bullet wounds where Joona's partner, Saga shot him. When a couple murders happen that have aspects that point to Joona, he's left to suspect the killer is in fact still alive. What follows is a pulse pounding, high stakes roller coaster ride that gives new meaning to a cat and mouse chase.Well written and translated, the unrelenting pace builds the tension and suspense as the body count rises. This one's not for the faint of heart as there is plenty of bloodshed. Joona is a damaged soul and this killer will stop at nothing to take all of those close to the detective away from him and crush what's left of his soul to dust. The same goes for Saga and anyone else the killer has an axe to grind with.Although many reviewers say this is fine as a stand-alone I highly recommend you at least read THE SANDMAN first to get the full arc and history of these characters. While the main plot has a satisfying if not heart breaking conclusion, this one ends in true Lars Kepler fashion, making me look forward to the next book in the series.
