Roaring Rockets (Amazing Machines) Paperback – Picture Book, September 15, 2000

This book is so fun to read! My 2 year old is obsessed with rocket ships right now, and this has been so fun to read with her. The art is also super cute and I love that it’s a pretty accurate story.

My grandson loves vehicles so it's a great little book that introduced him to something new.

This book really helped peak my sons interests in rockets and space! This book pretty accurately describes a space mission and return to earth in a fun and easy way to understand for a two year old! The illustrations are also very nice 👍🏼 all in all great purchase especially if you are a parent who wants to teach your child S.T.E.M.

My 3.5 year old and 21 month old both like this book a lot. We got it at the same time as Dazzling Diggers which is ok, but not as good. We read each page of the book and there are opportunities for the parent to add their own stuff in as they go if you use your imagination. The oddly funny part is that both of my boys independently cracked up laughing at one of the pages where the rabbit is floating in zero G space because they thought his legs look funny. Every time we get to that page they both still snicker at it so we make a little joke and move on to the next page. Fun, short story before bed. Oh, and at the end there is a little reference section that talks about items from the book (lunar lander, rocket etc). We wind down the whole bed time routine by reading that and then "The end!"

For the past few months my 2 year old has been obsessed with rockets. He makes rockets out of his food, out of his feet, literally anything. He even loves watching old rocket launches on YouTube. He doesn't have any books about rockets and I found this one on Amazon and it seemed great.It rhymes and its not too long or too short. It keeps his attention span great and I don't get annoyed when he asks me to read it 5 times in a row!

My favorite thing about these books is at the end. Once the story is over, the last page has pictures and descriptions of the parts of the rocket but put it in kids terms, easy enough for my 3 yr old to understand. I have purchased 4 out of the 10 in this series and they all do that. The stories are simple and interesting and about everything that little boys love, while teaching them the jobs of the various vehicles and the people who drive them.
