Overpriced as it's a Disney set, this is a more 'exotic' set in our collection. The con is very basic - it does look very 'girly' and that was the reaction I got from my little man. And I think slightly more challenge in the 'girly' sets would have eliminated this negativity. Now in Lego sets 'girly' equals 'easy' and that's not all that great, is it? Especially if you are trying to bring up children of opposite genders to be equally smart and capable. Give us more, Lego, you can do it :) But I felt it necessary to order a set like this, so that amongst Grave Diggers and Star Wars flying objects and Ninjago vehicles, there is a boat floating and food is served. Quality of parts is immaculate, assembly is much easier than all of the other sets we have. But colours on this one is slightly different and thus more fun. So, overall, hugely satisfied with this one. But I would have never paid £40 for it. Half it & I'm in.UPDATE: Now, that all of the toys have been assembled, I am ready to pay £30 - everything that has to move, moves. The flezible tentacles of the shrimp and the secret trap door - all of these features are genius. And it's not a straight-forward toy, it takes quite a few steps to assemble, a full scale Legi toy, marked 6+. And although this toy was first rendered as 'too girlish', it was greatly enjoyed by both genders :)

Like any Lego set this is such a good kids present, all pieces and items included are of a excelled quality, the set is pulled together very well with lots of interactive pieces and details which turns this building set into a play set once completed. The instructions are just brilliant which a 10yr old easily followed by herself with no Adult help, she used the paper ones provided but Lego do have this amazing app which shows you in 3D each step. This particular set is from the new Disney film rayna. We haven’t yet watched it so unsure of the characters in the set or the relevance of the boat this set is based on, but this didn’t stop the enthusiasm for the build or the play after it was completed, this particular set Includes the boat, which has a hidden compartment in the floor along with numerous items including buckets, fruit, crate and many more, you also get a small canoe and what looks like a shop stand. You also get a male a female figure and 3 monkeys. This set provided hours of play and a curiosity of the new film. It is expensive which is expected with a Disney/Lego collection but it looks like this price has come down since first release and it feels much more in the right bracket now

What a lovely Lego kit, certain to appeal to a young girl! It will also appeal to Lego and Diney's Raya and the Last Dragon fans both young and old, although it says that it is aimed at 6 years and above.The kit is entitled 'Raya and the Last Dragon', with Lego figures: Uka, Pan, Dyan, Boun and Sisu Human. The 247 pieces do not take too long to build, and the result is a large shrimp boat, a smaller boat and a dock area. There are other kits to buy to add to this set/scene.There are some lovely touches such as a working trapdoor on the shrimp boat (to hide the map) and this boat is also full of other accessories and details; it's certain to appeal to the creativity of any young person, especially a fan of the animation.So once you've built it then hours of imaginative play are certain to result, re-enacting parts from the animation as well as making up new stories involving the characters and setting. We love it!We are pleased with this product, which is the quality you would expect from Lego, and so we are very happy to recommend. It is pricey at around £45 (at time of review) and would make a great 'wow' present for a pre-teen.
