The Humans are in Charge Again
The mice and I have been battling each other for some time now in my shed. I tried using mouse traps, sticky pads, peanut butter, you name it, but was never really able to eliminate them. Then the mice counter attacked and ate through one of the wires on my riding lawn mower and that cost me about $75 to fix.Round 1 to the mice.Now.... it was gloves off and total warfare.I found the JT Eaton 709 Bait Blocks and this bait station and thought..... this looks like something I should add to my spring offensive since the mouse traps aren't really providing me with total victory. Now it was going to be a scorched earth policy and this was going to take some planning and preparation on my part.I devised a 3-pronged attackPhase 1 – Take everything out of the shed, and I mean everything. Completely empty it. Clean, vacuum and use a clorox solution to clean the floor and all the corners and crevices (be careful with this step if you have mouse droppings because you will need gloves and a mask)Phase 2 – Organize the entire shed. Tools hung and all the smaller items grouped and placed in plastic bins and labeled (I have to give my wife credit for helping me with this step). This step took a few days to complete. The goal was to leave nothing on the floor other than the riding mower, wheel barrow, etc. Provide no aid or comfort to the mice, no where to construct their little beds, eat their nuts and copulate.Phase 3 – Install the JT Eaton bait stations around the outside of the shed. Why outside….. so the mice would be attracted to the bait outside and not inside, which is the whole point…. keeping them out. After having implemented this plan, it has been 3 months since launching my spring offensive and I have to say that Round 2 goes to the humans. No more mouse activity in the shed and all of the mouse traps have been free and clear (I keep refreshing the mouse traps just for peace of mind). We’ll see how this goes because those mice are wily critters, but I am determined to win the war and so far, JT Eaton and I are winning!

Work 24/7. Baits going somewhere and I've found dead rodents in the area we have them.

This device works great !!!
I purchased six of these J Eaton 902 top loader bait stations to try around me house and in the barn. The house would have a mouse get in many times a year. At my wits end, I bought the 902 bait stations. I placed two bait stations filled with the J Eaton 704 peanut butter blocks around my house near the foundation and one inside the large garage on the cement floor along the outside wall. It didn't take long to see results. Within one week the mice were completely gone around the house. It's been a month and we've not seen sign of a mouse in the house or the large separate garage building. This product simply works and is well work the money you spend for it. Rain or Shine it keeps on working. Just reload it with blocks when it's empty.

Unclear as to which pests this can be used for
I was hoping to use this outdoors for mice and rats; however the space between the baffles and the entry/exit measures at least 1.5 inches. I believe this is enough space for a squirrel to fit. I do not want to poison squirrels or anything other than mice and rats. Consequently, I will be using these inside my house and move the square bait stations outdoors. I wished they would clearly state what animals could be harmed.

Work excellent, price varies
I gave 4 stars for value as they seem to fluctuate in price. I had seen this system on YouTube where they made them out of PVC. Well , again depending on current price, by the time you buy the materials , cut and assemble, these are cheaper and offer more options. These do not require a stand though if you want to, they have screw tabs to allow for mounting, and mounting in various positions as well. The top is tamper proof for nosy people and critters , but easy to open. I also like the fact that they hold 4 average chunk baits. My only gripe again was the fact the price went up after I first ordered. one case never arrived, no problem Amazon credited me on the spot, asked if I wanted someone to call to replace the order. I declined figured they had enough to do and I was hard to reach bye phone anyway. When I went to reorder the price jumped about $5 apiece! Chit! Should have had them replace my order, lol. Anyway, yes I recommend them wholeheartedly.
