Great return pump
I use this as a return pump on my Red Sea Reefer 250, it runs on 40% (2/5) so that it's easy to tune the overflow. This pump is silent and easy to maintain, and the included float valve works really well to prevent the pump from running dry. Highly recommended.

Great quiet pump
Yes the box is flimsy and go to YouTubetube if you need instructions...other than that it has great power and and is virtually silent and the controller with several pause selections for feeding or whatnot is the bomb. Red Sea 170. PerfectUpdate...2 years later and running strong. Gonna get a back up just in case. Highly recommended.

Perfect return pump. Great construction, control and absolutely silent. Highly recommend.

Also like the float valve
The barb fitting is strange. Dose not seem to be 3/4” also. It’s not as powerful I think as it should be but it’s silent! That’s what I’m looking for, don’t know it’s even on. Also like the float valve.

PRODUCT ITSELF IS PRETTY DECENT PRETTY MUCH SILENCE, BUT THE COST IS SOME WHAT HIGH AND MOST IMPORTANT THING! AMAZON DOESNT EVEN INCLUDE ANY SORT OF PROTECTION FOR ITS PACKAGE. IT CAME WITH JUST A BOXITSELF AND IM AFRAID IT MIGHT HAVE DAMAGE DURING SHIPPING! Bad job for amazon shpping team who ever packed this item!

I am new to saltwater aquariums and was excited to get my new Varios 4 pump. Arrived on time but with no assembly instructions. It did have the controller instructions. So I figured maybe the company just neglected to put the instructions in the box. I went on YouTube and somebody did a box opening video on this product....guess what, no instructions in his box either. When you scan on the bar code it takes you to the website and you find out that downloadable are "coming soon". I did email the company to see if they can help me out but this is ridiculous. Hopefully, the product will operate as expected.

Great Reefer pump.
Bought this pump for my Red Sea Reefer 250. What to let you know bought it from a different company not SaltwaterAquarium. This works great super quite and easy to adjust flow on the controller. Other reviews must have been due to refurbished units? None the less this little pump works like a horse.
