Can anyone tell me why this axe is prohibited from shipping to CA?

it is because an axe is considered a weapon like a knife and thats why has niothing do with liberals or hugging trees- though recreational or forestry use is not illeagle it's up to shipper specify use- or something- i suggest you contact the mail service or the town hall cuity hall or licensing bureau for if away around the law or company there maybe able order for you

It does come with a sheath. I would post a picture but it showed up torn and I tossed it. It was quite cheaply made. Axe itself is dope.
