For powerful chewers
Have a 75lb american pitbull terrier and find anything that he can chew on for more than a few hours is a task. Beef femurs are by far the best for powerful chewers. Once the filling is too far inside for the dog to get make sure you use a knife to help them out, dig it out and scrap it back inside on the edge to initiate interest on following days. not sure how long the filling inside is good for so be sure to help them get it out before too long. SMALL PIECES SOMETIMES CHIP OFF ITS OK FOR THE DOG TO EAT, LARGE SHARP BONE FRAGMENTS ARE DEADLY. if small chips break off check the bone for sharp edges and file down or rub on cement to grind sharp edges of to prevent gum and tongue damage. It actually stood up to our wolf!
First, we decided to give these a shot because we have a wolf hybrid who has successfully devoured every "durable" and other claim the company made that promised we wouldn't waste money for 15 minutes of entertainment. Also, the claims of mold are gone (at least our order of several kinds were). These are incredibly heavy, odor-neutral, and have not stained any of our various home surfaces. As for durability, we have a wolf hybrid and a shaggy little eleven pound rescue pup. The wolf actually enjoys this chew, and has spent several afternoons enraptured by this odd "fingertips for the tongue" and has only managed to cleave off one small piece. He promptly chewed and swallowed it before I could dive for it, so it is possible. But I would hazard a guess that most dogs would not be able to get much off of this chew. He loves it, and will gleefully enter his house when told for this yummy offering. As for the rescue pup, she likes to hold on to it like a rock-hard body pillow and lick it into submission. It's hilarious, and worth every penny to watch her attempt to be just like her big brother. I will definitely buy these again, but not anytime soon, because we don't need to!

Big too big
I wish the description of the sizes was recommended with what breed. My 27 pound Frenchton couldn't even lift and hold, or get his mouth over and bite the big bone. I'll try the smaller bone next time. For now, I'm scooping out the cream filling out closer to the end or spreading it across his smaller white bone to make that one less boring, which he really appreciates. Was really hoping to make this work so we can ween off the pricey bully bones.

Doggy Heaven
These bones are irresistible to dogs, from Pomeranians to pit bulls. They can cause doggy drama: be warned. Food aggression may occur. I really can't describe how tantalizing these are. That said, stepping on one is human agony. They are so tough (and long-lasting!) that it feels like you have stepped on a giant pile of legos sharpened to to points. Broken glass is preferable. So give doggy a treat but pick it up afterwards. Also, dogs somehow suck all the "marrow" out. I now fill it with peanut butter. My bones are two years old and still a doggy favorite.

wow, price doubled in 6 months! Won't buy any longer
I bought this (size large) for our borador 6 months ago. He loved it, and once the filling ran out (I had to take a knife inside and "pull" the stuff stuck in the middle out towards the ends to he could get to it) I can spread peanut butter inside the ends. But here's the problem: Now that I want to order a new one for Christmas I see the price has DOUBLED! It previously was $8.89 and now it is incredibly priced at $17.89 for ONE bone. Companies ripping people off by DOUBLING the price in 6 months is not ok with me. I'll be looking elsewhere.

Great for dogs with a lot of destructive chewing energy
My Corgi puppy got all of his adult teeth and figured out a while ago how to take down various chews and bully sticks with impressive speed, so the respite those treats should have afforded never lasted very long. Enter the Redbarn Filled Bones. I bought three different flavors over a month ago, and he's still working on the first one I gave him, the cheese and bacon flavor. The bone is pretty sturdy, but he's able to gradually wear it down without it splintering so he can get to the yummy filling a little at a time. It keeps him occupied for hours at a time, expends plenty of his destructive chewing energy, and once treat time is over or he's given up on it, I just drop the bone into a Ziploc bag for the next time I need to distract him. I had gotten so frustrated that he was taking down other edible chews within minutes, and Redbarn has been my (and his) saving grace. I plan on always keeping one of these on hand for when my pup needs to get some energy out and we can't take him to the dog park.

Your dog will never get all the filling out, but…
My dog loves this one more than the plain peanut butter. The bones don’t shatter or get sharp which is great. But after maybe an hour of working on it, because the bones don’t get any smaller, she’ll never get all of the filling out so it’s a semi waste. But it does by me some time to do things indoors if it’s a rainy day or too hot to be outside.

Gets hard as a rock in a short amount of time
My dog loved them and it kept her busy for quite a while and that was the good but the bad was that these filled bones became hard as rocks, even the unwrapped one. very quickly. If I had of known that I would have only purchased one. At least the bones still have some use because after softening and cleaning the inside I fill the bone with her favorite filling, peanut butter. Will not purchase again.
